I purchased this from Amazon when my son was 3 and he still enjoys it at age 5! It's taken a lot of abuse and still going strong. I'd highly recommend it, especially since there are so many ways to configure the toy. It really got him interested in space and the NASA Shuttle Program. I'm getting him the Mega Rig dino hunter helicopter this year since I know he'll get plenty of use out of it as well.Customer Review: Loads of Fun

My boys (3 and 5) love this toy. There are so many ways to fit the pieces together and use your imagination. They can share it easily too since there are 2 sepperate parts. I think this toy is very durable. My boys can be pretty rough with their toys and this one has held up very well. We bought this for my son's 5th birthday and after a year of play, this toy is still providing him joy. The pieces are sturdy, and the ability to recombine them endlessly means that he can create original space ships in endless combinations. The only part of the toy I don't like is the alien space ship's sound effects, which after a couple of minutes can get annoying.Customer Review: Endless configuration fun

This is a terrific toy. My son received the set for his 4th birthday and it has provided lasting fun for the whole year. It even was one of the few toys we took with us on vacation and proved a great choice. My son really enjoys configuring the parts differently, hiding the alien, the great space noise that the little ship makes...You name it. Worth the price!Customer Review: Perfect for my son

Knowing other mega rig sets I ordered this without having seen the pictures, but I had not imagines how much fun my 6-year old and his friend would have with this. Realistic enough for easy gameplay but also flexible enough to vary things. And it is - like all the mega rig stuff - almost indestructible, an important consideration in our household.
