Toys and Games Reviews of Matchbox Mega Rig Space ShuttleCustomer Review: All he wanted for Christmas Summary: 5 Stars
Our 3 year old has taken an interest in space and space shuttles after watching the Space Chimps movie. All he asked Santa for this year was a space shuttle. After searching and reading other parents reviews this seemed to be the one to get. Christmas morning it was all set up under the tree and he couldn't be happier! He and his Dad play with it daily and there are so many different combinations to use the possibilities are endless and even allow for 2 shuttles to play with together. He's a bit young at 3 to take apart and put together without help, but he's started to get it and we highly recommend this toy!
Customer Review: Very good toy... Summary: 5 Stars
My son wanted this toy for his 5th birthday last month. Miraculously, Amazon had it sitting on our doorstep the morning of his birthday! I was sure it would be late because I didn't allow enough time for delivery. I am very pleased with this purchase. It is one of those rare toys that my son is still playing with a month after receiving it. The quality is excellent for the money and there are not a lot of little "parts" which have become my pet peeve lately. This toy has kept him occupied for hours and he has watched less TV since receiving it. In my book, that is a good purchase!
Customer Review: Amy, mom, minnesota Summary: 5 Stars
Why are these mega rigs so expensive on Amazon? I bought this space shuttle at Target last Christmas for around $35. I also purchased the shark ship about 2 years ago for around $20. These are fantastic toys for boys - mine is four years old and loves to build but usually wants someone to play with him, not so with these. He is able to play alone for good stretches with these. Only occasionally needs help locking pieces in place. Definitely have a bin/container on hand for storage. Really disappointed with the prices on Amazon as I would like to add to our collection.
Customer Review: Excitement for several ages Summary: 5 Stars
When I gave this gift to my 5-year old grandson, several of his older cousins (6-12, male and female) all wanted to play with this. They played for several hours and then we finally had to put the toy away so that our grandson could enjoy his new toy. It's been about two weeks now and he (and his siblings) are enjoying this toy very much. He plays with it everyday and has fun creating different objects.
It is well made and very durable (trust me - my grandsons are not real easy on toys). This one has been tried, tested, and passed with flying colors.
Customer Review: Perfect for 4.5 & 6.5 year old boys Summary: 5 Stars
This set is perfect for my 4.5 & 6.5 year old boys. Parts that easily go together and separate and encourages a little or alot of imagination. It is easy enough for my young one to sit and mix/match pieces, but challenging enough for the older one to sit, be creative, and put pieces in other locations to build different scenarios. As with any 'set', there are several pieces that mommy and daddy have to keep together in a bag, but the pieces are pretty significant in size, which makes finding them in the gameroom much easier. I am very pleased with this.
