This is an amazing toy. My 5-year-old got it for his birthday. He loves it! There are so many different ways to put it together and it is pretty easy to figure out how. Plus it doesn't have to be put together any certain way so the imagination can take over and play can continue without any frustration. It is a bit difficult to open the cargo doors and they fall off pretty easy, but they also go back on easily. The only real negative is the alien space ship makes an obnoxious sound. I wish I had taken the battery out before I gave it to my son. The biggest pro is that it will be a toy that he can play with for many years before he outgrows it. I do wish there was more than one astronaut. All in all Im very impressed with this toy.Customer Review: great for all ages

This toy was a gift for my nephew, 6 and he loves it! He played with it almost exclusively on Christmas day and still continues to play with it a week later. Definitely high quality parts, they have a satisfying snap to go together and come apart. As others have said, he makes stories about the alien: "When he's captured he goes in here but then he breaks out..." and is delighted to reconfigure this ship in a verity of ways. This product is on my wish list perhaps for the coming year for my son who is only 3. The smallest complaint I have is the UFO's noises are annoying and repetitive, but that's easily fixed by removing the batteries (I hope! I haven't checked this yet, as they haven't really been that annoying).Customer Review: 7 year old loves this!

Santa brought this to my 7 year old for Christmas and it was a big hit! He absolutely loves space and was overjoyed to get this toy. I was impressed by how many ways it can go together. He's built many different space stations, and rovers. The alien is great for play as well. The frustration free packaging was nice - however, since it doesn't come in the color box it did leave something to be desired when presenting as a gift. We ended up putting all the pieces together and then putting it inside a plastic storage tub -- then wrapped this up as the gift. That worked out great - since there are so many pieces he can easily pick them up and put away in the storage container.Customer Review: A total hit with my 5 year old

I bought this for my son for Christmas having never seen this toy and based it on the customer reviews,free shipping, and it would be here in time for the holidays. It is a complete hit with my son! He's had hours of fun and the toy is well built. I love the wheels - it reminds me of roller blade wheels. I'm so tired of buying toys that fall apart moments later. This may seem pricey, but well worth it given that it lasts and the kids have fun. The packaging was also another bonus - great for the environment and no fuss to open. I'm so glad I bought this toy. I ordered this toy for my 8-year-old son, as this was one he really, really wanted for Christmas. I was a little apprehensive to spend this much on ONE toy, but I now feel the money was well spent. This toy has been his favorite toy ever since he opened it. There are so many different ways to configure this toy, that he never gets bored. Everything is self-contained into the shuttle, so he can pack it up and carry it to different areas of the house for instant play. It is the first thing he plays with as soon as he gets up and the last thing he plays with before bed. He absolutely LOVES this toy!!! I was also impressed with the durability - it seems to be holding up well.
