This is a nice basic set with a car crusher in it and a crane, but if you really want hours of fun, you will need to get a couple of the other sets. We have the space shuttle set, dinosaur helicoptor set, and the boat ocean set. and the kids from 2 years of age to 10 play with them all the time.
They do occasionally have a small broken piece, but overall doesn't effect the abililty to play with all the othe pieces.
Although i say 2 years old, these aren't for children that put things in their mouth.
I highly recommend these for the 4 to 6 year old crowd. hours of fun and imagination, putting them together different ways.
And the boats float great.
