Toys and Games Reviews of Little Mommy Gotta Go Doll [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]Customer Review: Fun and educational Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas and she loves it. She loves to role play as mommy for the doll and "teach" her how to go potty and then praise the doll for going in the potty like a big girl. The only down side that I have experience is when the doll asks for a drink of water, and before you can pick up her cup, she is asking to go potty, or while she is going potty, she asks for a drink or to go to sleep. Much like a real child, I guess. It would be better if the doll would complete one task before asking for another. Other reviews have commented on the shelves falling off, but we have not had any problems with them, unless the bathroom unit is dropped or picked up by the shelves. Overall, a very fun and educational toy. Probably too young for a 5 year old, but she loves to play "mommy".
Customer Review: Cute but too expensive Summary: 3 Stars
Our 2-year-old thought it was a novelty to begin with but now it just hangs out in the toybox most days. The doll is cute and works for what it's intended to do. However, many phrases are hard to understand. The white "counter top" never stays on so I finally threw it out. The actual toilet/sink set-up is very tippy so you have to set it against something to keep it from falling over. My daughter likes to carry the doll around but, in my opinion, paying this much for a doll/potty is overpriced. She would have been happy with a different doll. I couldn't say whether this has helped with potty training or not since she is working on it and hasn't played with the doll for several weeks now. Cute doll, nice that no water is involved...but too $$ for this type of economy.
Customer Review: My 3 year old loves this! Summary: 4 Stars
My daughter loves her "Tinkle Doll". It's been big fun since she got it from Santa Christmas morning. The toilet/sink set up is a bit wobbly though, but it doesn't seem to be much of an issue during play. Watching her brush her teeth is hilarious. My 12 & 14 year old nephews got a kick out of it.
The frustration-free packaging wasn't as frustration-free as I'd hoped. I still had to remove the poor girl from bondage. The toilet/sink wasn't secured though, which was nice. It was packaged safely.
The doll did help enforce potty training that was coming to a close. I wish we'd gotten it earlier in the process. I think it's a great tool for that.
Plus, who doesn't want a doll that makes fart and potty sounds?
Customer Review: Poorly made for the price. Summary: 1 Stars
This doll was received as a christmas gift, and broke by mid-January. The arms and head stopped moving and she would only give off a whirring sound. Upon taking the doll apart, we found that the engine had been connected to the moving parts with a flimsy rubber band, which snapped. Hard to believe that an item that costly could be so crappily made. We fixed it, but it was hard since there are lots of cogs and moving parts inside.
The bathroom set does not hold up, keeps falling over and the shelves keep falling off.
I also dislike that the doll does not have an auto-shutoff when ignored. She just keeps on blabbing and moving which is creepy.
Customer Review: Little Mommy Gotta Go Doll Summary: 5 Stars
I have a two year old Granddaughter and she's learning to go to the potty and this doll is an incentive to want to go to the potty when the baby goes. You can actually hear the baby going to the bathroom and she'll tell you what she has to "DO". We love it when she says Potty, Momma then you hear her "GOING" she'll say "I Pee Pee in the potty",then you flush it and you hear everyone clapping their hands and cheering, it's funny. Then the doll has to wash her hands, you can actually hear the water running in the sink. She'll brush her teeth when you hold the tooth brush up to her teeth too. This doll is very Educational, any child would absolutely love it!
