Toys and Games Reviews of Little Mommy Gotta Go Doll [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]Customer Review: My Daughter Loved It Summary: 5 Stars
My daughter loves this toy. You can brush her teeth, give her a drink and make her go potty. The best thing is there's no water! Everything is done with sound effects. It's a very cute toy and my daughter still plays with it a lot.
The one thing that doesn't work very well is the flushing toilet. When the doll sits on the seat, the picture in the bowl flips to the dirty side. When you push the handle to flush, the picture is supposed to switch to the clean water side. You have to push the handle quickly to get it to flip and stay on the correct side and my daughter has trouble with that. It doesn't seem to bother her, though. I also have to watch because now my daughter sometimes brushes her teeth by moving her head back and forth like the doll :)
I bought this product on sale for about twenty-five and that seems to be a fair price for what you get. I'm not sure it's worth the in store prices I've seen. Overall, it's a great toy that exceeded my expectations and I'm glad I made the purchase.
Customer Review: The Favorite Gift Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this doll for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas. She had seen it on TV several times and was asking for it every day. I was hesitant to spend so much on one doll but I decided to go for it since it was Christmas and my daughter seemed to want nothing else but this "pee-pee doll" as she calls it. As soon as we opened the package, my daughter would not stop playing with this doll for days. The doll is very interactive and funny and my daughter talks back to the doll's comments and really enjoys all the features and actions this doll performs. I agree with other reviews as far as the countertops popping off, it doesn't happen all the time, but enough to be annoying. I'm still happy with the purchase and for all the doll does and for how much my daughter plays with it, the price was not too bad. I'd like for the doll to ask to wash her hands after every toilet use, so potty training children connect hand washing with toilet use. My daughter is already potty trained so it wasn't an issue, but the thought came up.
Customer Review: Cute and fun doll, but not without flaws Summary: 4 Stars
My 4 year old and 2 year old recently received this doll. They had seen it on TV and begged for it. We also have Baby Alive (she's awful) so I bought this as a neater potty training aid for my two year old.
The good:
The doll itself seems well made
She has cute phrases
She's more than just a potty doll - she brushes her teeth, sings, drinks from a cup
No water required!!!!
The toilet has an illustrated pee and poop
The toilet "flushes"
The sink makes realistic sounds
The bad:
The toilet unit is not sturdy and is tippy. Must be propped against the wall
Some mechanical grinding sounds
Overall this is a great purchase. I got this doll for about 50% off on Amazon which is a STEAL. I would not have bought it for full price because the toilet unit is really tippy, but if you can catch this on sale it's a great purchase. It's the best potty training doll hands down because there is NO MESS!
Customer Review: Great toy-fun for learning about potty training Summary: 5 Stars
My three year old daughter who we were currently beginning to potty train just loved this toy. She has had it for only a few weeks and on her own has advanced to going potty on her own. The doll is very interactive. You hold the toothbrush that comes with the set up to the dolls mouth and the dolls head turns back and forth vigorousely while you hear brushing noises. When you set her on the potty you hear a peeing sound and then the doll says different phrases such as "whew, I really had to go" or "I did it". She also says things like "Time to wipe". When you take the doll off there is a brownish, yellow color in the potty then you flush it and the water turns clear. Then the doll will say things like "Time to wash my hands" The sink makes water running sounds. Sometimes the doll will say "I need more soap. Very good toy especially for potty training. Even for a child who is not or is already potty trained. My five year old son just loves to play with the doll too!! Excellant buy!!
Customer Review: GREAT DOLL!! Summary: 5 Stars
My girls, ages 4 and 21 months, love this doll. Of all the many toys bought for Christmas, this one was by far the favorite. The doll is super cute, and she says lots of little phrases that make both girls squeal with delight. She turns her head from side to side when you bring the toothbrush to her mouth and makes brushing sounds. She makes drinking sounds when you put her cup to her mouth. The little potty looks like she has peed and pooped. When you flush it, the plastic "water" flips over to show clean blue swirling water. When you put other dolls on the potty, it works for them too. We also got the baby alive potty doll, but the Little Mommy doll is lots more fun and no mess! Nothing more to buy with this doll. With baby alive, you need to buy more food packets and diapers. My girls don't need or want much help with Little Mommy, they can do everything themselves. With the other doll, it's constant adult hands on. Great doll, your girls will love it.
