Customer Review: Great idea.
Summary: 4 Stars

My 2 year old daughter only wanted 3 things for Christmas. a Chou Chou baby, a water baby and a Potty baby. THIS potty baby. she squealed every time the commercial came on TV. Well I thought OK HOW and I going to afford a doll at $70! I watched the sales and got her this doll in a before Christmas sale on Amazon. instead of $70 it only cost me $[...]. I couldn't wait to hear her squeal when she had the actual doll in hand. NOT SO! She opened the box and looked in and just pulled it out. Did not squeal or NOTHING! LOL. KIDS!

as far as the doll goes. She is really cute. She comes with a hair brush but her hair is in two pony tails. My daughter has already messed up the cute style by brushing her hair. she also comes with tooth paste and tooth brush and a soap bottle and a little pink towel that my daughter has decided is the doll's blankie. The doll does ask for a blankie but did not come with a separate one. The bathroom set up is a little wobbly. I read reviews that people just kept it on the bathroom backdrop from the package. WELL mine came with frustration free packaging and there was NO back drop. I would have been nice if Amazon could have at least left that. But they took that essential part out and also the doll was attached to a piece of cardboard and was not very Frustration free. But I took it out of the box first and released it from the packaging and then put it back in and wrapped it for my daughter so all she had to do was pull it all out. My grandpa actually took an old board he had in his shop and made a nice little platform for the potty setup. it was really wobbly without anything. It needs more to it. He used wood glue to attach it. said if you tried to screw it on to anything the plastic would crack.

I was hoping this baby would help my daughter with her potty training. My daughter STILL has no interest in the potty and NOW since I suggested that she could use the potty like her baby she has refused to play with this doll. I am so disappointed. Not in the quality of the toy. It's a great toy. But in the fact my child screamed and screamed for this and NOW won't touch it. Hope someone else is able to use this doll for potty training it seems like the perfect teaching tool for that. Just not for my kid. She is difficult anyways. LOL.

Customer Review: Fun toy
Summary: 4 Stars

My daughter, who is almost four, loves this doll. She is not a doll lover and never showed any interest in dolls until this one. She has played with it every day. It makes her laugh, and she talks to it. It is expensive at $50, but since this was her first doll request I caved in. My daughter loves brushing the doll's teeth, giving her a drink (and my daughter has figured out that pushing the dolls tongue triggers the drinking sounds and finds it extremely funny that the doll will "eat" the tooth paste or anything else she puts in her mouth). The pee/poop sounds also make her laugh, especially when the doll says "oh that is stinky". I agree with the other reviewer about the shelves, they don't stay on. I kept the back drop as well and left the toilet and sink attached at the bottom. This adds stablity. Plus it makes it look like a little bathroom. I wasn't interested in this doll because my daughter is already potty trained, but she loves it. My daughter has a little trouble with the flushing of the toy toilet, it is hard to push down all the way. Things I like about the toy is that it says please and thank you. The one thing that I have reservations about is that the doll makes a "rasberry" sound then laughs. My daughter finds this hilarous, but now copies it and blows rasberries all the time. I also wish the doll was programmed to ask to play or look at a book with the child. At least some activity away from the toilet, and then has to stop play to go potty (that would be a good potty training skill reinforcer). Our doll seems to loop into the sleep talk a lot, and rarely talks about washing hands. Overall we are satisfied, everything works and my daughter is having fun roll playing.

Customer Review: Initially a let down, but it worked!
Summary: 4 Stars

I was initially disappointed with the toy but things worked out for us in the end.

Cons: The shelves never stay on (we glued them) and the whole thing falls over easily (we kept the back drop of the box and rest it in there). The doll goes through its round of phrases, sometimes completely contradicting what my daughter is actually doing with her. The toilet almost never flushes to the clean image the first time, and often not even the second time (my daughter doesn't mind but it drives me crazy). Also, the doll only makes the sounds that she is going potty if you get her on the sit just right.

Pros: No mess. Play includes having the doll go pee and poop (important with our very resistant child). Any doll or toy can be put on the potty and it will trigger the switch so it looks like they went. The doll can be turned off for "free" play (though having her on when brushing her teeth is hilarious).

I gave it 4 stars because, well, it worked! The night it arrived my 2 1/2 year old, who usually screams if you try to change a dirty diaper let alone try to get her to poop on the potty, said "Gotta Go" and did. That was 8 days ago and she has been in underwear, with only two accidents, for the last 5 days. Previously she was willing to pee when we asked her to but wouldn't ask to go and absolutely would not poop on the potty. For her getting this doll seems to have been what she needed to take that final step.

I ordered this doll for my four-year old daughter for Christmas because not only was it on her "must-have" Santa list, but I also found it on sale at Amazon for $29.99, which is a MUCH more reasonable price than the originally listed one. So far she does everything she is supposed to, and my daughter is delighted with the fact that she can fulfill the doll's requests and receives prompt responses. Though we don't have a need for a potty-training aid, I can definitely see potential in using it that way. So far my only complaint with the doll has been that my husband and I were a little dismayed by the doll's complete lack of manners. I read in an earlier review that she supposedly says "please" and "thank you," but so far that has not been the case for us, and our little doll tyrant demands a drink, to go potty, etc. with no mention of the word please. Since we are big sticklers for politeness and manners in our house our daughter even noticed! Since young children seem to emulate everything they hear, it would be nice to have a toy that consistently portrays the kind of manners you would like to hear from your child. Otherwise the doll seems to be a fun and entertaining toy, though I would recommend trying to find it on sale if you are looking to buy it, since the original price tag is quite steep for what you get.

Customer Review: We loved the "potty" doll.
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great doll for my granddaughter and her friends. She is 5 and I wish I had gotten it for her when she was starting potty training as I believe it would have helped greatly and she might have even potty trained sooner. She and her friends love to see the poop that appears in the toilet. I had to explain to them how it came to be as they were just too blown away when they thought it came out of the doll (lol).

It was so cute to see her trying to do all the things the doll demanded one after another... kiss, drink, brush teeth, etc. etc. Kind of gave her an idea how trying to keep up with all the demands started feeling like work, lol. Everything worked just fine and the only thing I would change and not just on this doll but any battery type toy is to have a feature where if the toy is not touched for a while then it turns itself off. Another doll (by the same company) has this feature and it is great.

Love the packaging and not just for frustration free purposes but for recycling purposes too. I highly recommend this doll especially for potty training age.
