Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher Price Noah's ArkCustomer Review: I only wish they'd begun making it earlier! Summary: 5 Stars
My daughter just loves this - too bad they didn't have it when our son was younger (though we still catch him playing with it when he thinks no one is looking!)
I didn't get this through Amazon or TRU. I got a steal on it at Target (same price but it included the peacocks, rhinos and leopards that are sold separately!) My mom has since gotten her the other set (pandas, etc.) and all of the animals fit in the ark. I like that the set is self-contained that way.
The animals are just adorable. I like that there are even 2 little fish in the water trough!
My daughter sits and stands on the ark to try to get things out of her reach (no, not recommended, of course!), but it withstands the daily abuse she dishes out on it!
Customer Review: perpetuates gender stereotypes, stifles creativity Summary: 1 Stars
putting aside the obvious fact that this is a "god" toy, i agreed to buy it for my cousin's daughter, who loves the little toy animals. before i saw it on amazon, i assumed that it would come with several pairs of identical animals. (of course, it doesn't really come with animals at all -- you have to buy those separately -- !) instead, it comes with a "plain" "boy" animal and its "blushing" "pink" "girl" counterpart -- ! what, boys don't blush? boys don't have pink ears? the ones i know sure do. why should we impose gender stereotypes on (a) poor little plastic animals and (b) impressionable wee ones? please, bypass this ridiculous toy, and let our children figure out for themselves who they and the rest of the living things on this planet are.
Customer Review: My Grandson's favorite toy! Summary: 5 Stars
I babysit my 22 month old grandson 2 days a week so I try to have interesting toys for him to play with. This is a toy he plays with for hours and he keeps going back to throughout the day. He arranges the animals in different places each time he plays with this toy. Sometimes he brings the animals up the ramp, sometimes through the trap door on top, and he also likes placing the animals on the pegs on top as well. He gets so focused as he opens and closes the ark and arranges all his little people, you can just see his imagination running wild. The toy is well made and very user friendly for the child. His second favorite toy is the Fisher Price Little People Farm with Sounds. This is a great gift for your toddler.
Customer Review: Noah's Ark Review Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased the Noah's Ark toy for my grandson when he was 11 months old. He is now 13 months old and is starting to relate to the animals and people using his imagination. He at first just chewed the animals which was okay because he is and was teething. I think he will enjoy this toy for a long time and it is educational for the different phases of his development such as at first to teach hand/eye coordination by learning to grasp and pick up the animals and learning how to open the boat using a button and to open the door. Lastly he is enjoying the toy as he begins developing his imagination at playtime. I would highly recommend it. If you are a religious family, you can relate the toy to the bible story too!
Customer Review: Perfect 1st Birthday Gift! Summary: 5 Stars
We just gave this to our daughter yesterday as one of her first birthday gifts. She had already had similar toy animals that never left her sight, so we thought this would be a good idea. Boy, were we right. She has actually had it for going on 24 hours and will not put any of it down, even to eat.It was the first thing she looked for this morning when she woke up too. She loves the animals. She likes to put them in and out of the ark and bang them together. Of course, they are also good for chewing. We'll see if the novelty wears off, but considering how much she played with the set of barnyard animals, and based on other reviews, I think this will become a long-term favorite toy in her collection.
