Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher Price Noah's ArkCustomer Review: COOL, AWESOME, ENTERTANING Summary: 5 Stars
Remember when little people toys were made of wood instead of plastic? Weren't those cool? I still have my multi-floor garage. Well today's little people are a lot more into detail and are as beautiful as ever.
This particular one is great. Your child will have as much fun playing with it as you will have fun teaching him about the story of Noah. It's very educational and will stimulate the child's thinking cells. Plus appreciate and learn about the bible, which isn't a bad thing especially these days.
The ark opens in half showing the interior rooms which will accommodate all figures, and folds into Noah's Ark. The roof comes of too. It will not float in the tub though. But it has wheels, and when you push it around it makes wavelike movements. It includes some animals (giraffes, lions, zebras, toucans, all in pairs of course), Mr. and Mrs. Noah (none of their children), a table and some "food" for the animals. I wish there were elephants but there aren't. There are two add-on packs for this set that include other animals such as pandas, peacocks, hippos, rhinos, etc. but no elephants :(
This toy is very safe and colorful. Are niece is in love with the toy. I am sure your little ones will love it too. And while you're at it, you can buy little people Star Wars edition for your big child... err husband. They are hard to find but are the coolest thing ever. My wife bought me... uh my niece some and they are awesome. I... my niece just loved them too. Have Fun!

I bought this as a first birthday present for my twins. I figured that we'd give it to them, but that they wouldn't be really ready to play with it yet - how wrong I was! They LOVE this toy. The animals are just right for picking up. They love to show me the animals and have me name them, and are even starting to get the right one if I say, "Where's the panda?" or whatever. It's a toy that they go to time and again throughout the day. They have even figured out how to open the ark and they like putting the animals in and taking them out. I love that I know it will last for a long time, because as they get older, they will be able to play "imagination" games with it. The details are amazing, too. The animal pairs are easily identifiable as girls and boys - all the girls have blush and pink ears, while the boys don't, as another reviewer mentioned. Noah and his wife (in our house, her name is Betty) are built so that if you stand them next to each other, they hold hands. It is just too cute! It is this kind of extra detail that shows to me how much thought Fisher-Price puts into their toys. I did buy one of the extra animal sets and plan to purchase the other one today. There is certainly room for storage of all the animals inside the ark. This is a wonderful toy!
Customer Review: No more Fisher Price in this house..... Summary: 1 Stars
Gave this toy to my 20 month old for Christmas. She pushed it around a bit and opened the doors and hatch, only to have the hatch in the roof come of in her hands the second time she touched it. We tried putting it back in, but it continues to fall off every single time it's opened. Called Fisher Price and they sent us a replacement toy, saying we probably got a flawed one. Well, the replacement is exactly the same as the first: the hatch door falls off every single time it's used. The toy is obviously designed as cheaply as possible. Neither my now 23 month old nor my 3 yr. old touch this toy. It's hard to open the ark and it's hard for them to close it again. The interior of the ark is plain, painted one colour, has nothing in it to interest a child. I am planning on donating both arks to charity as we find it to be a cmplete piece of junk with no interest value at all. Having purchased a few Fisher Price toys in the past and having several of them fall apart in no time, several friends and myself have sworn off future Fisher Price toys. I am now planning on spending more money for more quality and switching to Playmobil. You get what you pay for.
Customer Review: Skip fancy electronics! Summary: 5 Stars
My son turned one and we wanted to get him a special toy from his grampa. We started with the Leap Start Musical table and found that even though he loved it, the sensor went out after two days! I took it back and got the Little Touch Leap Pad which he was also interested in but when he couldn't press the sensors (not even I could do it very easily) he became disinterested. Finally I read some more reviews and got him this much cheaper Noah's Ark set. He LOVED it!! He couldn't even wait for me to take it out of the package he was so excited!! Right now he loves to move the pieces around and put them in and out. He even notices if one of the animals is missing and gets it from across the room! I am beginning to realize that all the lights and whistles of these new 'educational' toys may not be the best at stimulating young minds. Toys like 'Little People' seem to stimulate creativity and don't have any bounds to where their minds can take them on their learning adventure. Who would have thought that sticking to the simple toys would bring so much excitement to a little todler! I highly recommend this and any Little People toys!
Customer Review: Not a good toy at all Summary: 2 Stars
Our daughter received this and the Animal Sounds Zoo for her first birthday. The zoo gets played with several times a day and this sits on the sidelines ignored. My first complaint is that the ark comes apart into too many pieces. It is hard for a toddler to assemble it and certainly isn't portable at all. Secondly, the edges of the toy are actually quite sharp as I found out when I accidentally stepped on part of it and sliced my foot open. My one year old broke part of the roof of the ark the second time she played with it, so it's not very durable, either. The plastic is thin and seems more brittle than other Little People sets. The best part of the set are the Little People themselves. The animals are adorable and are very well made. She carries them around with her everywhere, but they wind up at the zoo, not at the ark. We have found the Animal Sounds Zoo to be a much better toy. Our daughter plays with it many times a day and dances to the bird sound. Maybe she will like the ark when she is older, but I don't know if it will survive that long.
