I disagree with the previous reviewer "Great toy to play WITH your kid." We first purchased an ello set for our daughter when she was 3 (nearly 4). She loved it! She is able to play at length with her sets (we have since purchased another), and looks forward to adding to her collection. Her favorite play activity is creating a house or work space and the people to fill them. We will be surprising her with the jungle ello over Hannukah. Indeed, ello is enjoyable and creative enough that we have fun playing with it, too!Customer Review: fun.. especially with other sets

You can make some really neat houses with these sets.It takes a lot of planning and effort to make complicated structures that will actually stand firm, so if your child is under 8 or so you'll have to help (its a good Idea to play with your child anyway!)
My daughter and I dont like the little ello figures, theyre too fragile to play with (no fun!). I recomend that you get some other little figures like my little pony or hamtaro minatures to "live" in your ello houses.

I can't say enough about Ello! It's so versitle! My daughter has built a house for her BRATZ dolls, picture frames, all kinds of neat things. My favorite is the house she built for her BRATZ! It is so cute and really fits the style of the BRATZ! This is a highly educational toy and forces the immagination! Lego has so many fantastic sets for boys, yet very little for girls. now they have their answer! i highly reccomend this set and anything else Ello out there!Customer Review: Perfect for little girls who like making crafts!

My 3 year old got a basic ello set for christmas (obviously beware of the small parts if buying for a 3 year old though) and it is the first toy she has played with by herself for months. She feels like she is doing grown-up crafts because she can make necklaces, dolls, and decorations. She absolutely loves it. She plays for hours and I am amazed at what she comes up with. Perfect toy for kids who want to do crafty stuff.Customer Review: Ello is great!

This set is great. My daughters (7 and 10) love playing with it together. My only wish is that there were more of the flat peices so that they could each build a house of their own. We'll be buying another set to remedy that situation! All of the pieces are easy to assemble, and appear to be quite durable even when the house was stepped on by a rowdy 7 year old birthday girl!
