Toys and Games Reviews of Disney Cars: Radiator Springs Mountain Challenge Track SetCustomer Review: Need to Fix Summary: 1 Stars
I thought this was a great idea if it worked. I didn't think the set up was too bad, 15 minutes. The problem was a few pieces kept popping out and the car flies off the track in the same spot never finishing the entire track. The pop out pieces are the track that connects to the motor section, it should have been fitted like the other pieces from the middle and ends, it pops out constantly. The piece that has the green hands keeps popping off from the bottom. It was great how the motor lifts off the car but when it makes it to the guardrail section, the car flies off the track to the right where there is no guardrail. Fix these problems and it would be a winner.
Customer Review: Lightning's Revenge Summary: 4 Stars
While I love the design and engineering of the track there a a few minor flaws. The track becomes disconnected easily just below the motorized launcher and the pictures in the directions are a little difficult to follow. Make sure you do not throw out the box, there are important pieces taped to the inside that do not come out with the rest of the track.
Having said all that it is a great toy that my four year old (and myself) love. Generalyy it only works with the car provided, but after going throw your son's garage of other toy cars you will find a few that work just as well.
If you like Cars and Cars toys this track is a must buy.
Customer Review: Fun for a little boy Summary: 5 Stars
My three year old nephew is a huge "Cars" fan and when I saw this track set I immediately bought it for him. Following the easy instructions, I had this set up and running in twenty minutes, five of which was used to look around for 'D' batteries. Once the set was up and running, Lightning McQueen was up and racing his way through the intricate track. Soon my nephew was activating the mine shaft/wagon wheel escape chute. He likes to put several cars onto the track and watch them race around the track. Overall, because of his excitement this toy gets a 5 star review. But remember the cars only go around the track or through the escape tunnel and that is all.
Customer Review: Santa's present! Summary: 4 Stars
My 4 year old son really wanted Santa to bring him this toy and after searching every store in two different states, I was unsuccessful in locating it. I decided to search the web and of course found it at Toys R Us.com. The reviews scared me and I struggled with whether I should purchase it. Well I bought it and the look on my son's face on Christmas morning made me realize I did the right thing. My husband did say it took awhile to put it together but it wasn't difficult. It is alitte flisy, but somehow my son is able to carry it from downstairs to upstairs without it falling apart. He loves the track and I'm glad we got it. He still enjoys it very much!
Customer Review: worked well for us Summary: 4 Stars
Although this took about 30 to 45 minutes to set up, it has not fallen apart at all after lots of playing time. Our kids have really enjoyed playing with it, ages 4, 5, and 9. My husband did not want to buy this after reading all the reviews, but for us it turned out to be a fun toy!! Our 5 year old boy especially likes it. The character car Sally works as well as the Lightining McQueen that comes with it. The sheriff is too heavy, he makes it up the hill and stops. Luigi, Ramone and Sarge don't work either. Batteries still working well after 4+ hours of play. I would recommend this toy, just make sure you put it together correctly.
