Customer Review: Not up to the standards of other "Infinite Heroes" figures, but an important part of a superhero collection

This is part of Mattel's "DC Universe: Infinite Heroes" line of 3-3/4" scale action figures. I like the line. As well as a nice smaller scale, the toys feature simple designs, with basic articulation, but nothing crazy. And the line integrates characters from throughout the history of DC Comics and uses their classic looks.
But this Wonder Woman figure is different from the other figures I've purchased from this collection. Maybe all female characters get this treatment, but I don't know because Wonder Woman is the first female figure I purchased from this line. The Wonder Woman figure does NOT feature elbow joints and does NOT have ball & socket shoulder joints. All of the other "Infinite Heroes" figures I've seen have these articulations. Maybe it wouldn't work with the design of the Wonder Woman figure. Maybe her arms were too small to support those joints. But these changes limit the posability and fun of the toy.
Wonder Woman still has posability in her waist (higher up than the male figures), hips, knees, and neck (limited by her long hair). Her legs are pretty much straight-down, with no muscle sculpting or anything, and her boots are painted on. Her hip joints are slanted so that she begins to do a split the higher you raise her legs. And both her tiny fists are closed, so she can't hold anything.
The figure doesn't come with a weapon or accessory, but the one I bought came with a clear-plastic stand, something none of the other figures I'd bought had. Maybe they will be added to the new releases? I can't see why it would be a Wonder Woman-specific thing.
The toy should be very safe for kids. It's made of a durable plastic and, because of the limited moving parts, should not break very easily. It should withstand a good amount of punishment.
But despite the different articulation, Wonder Woman is a good figure for your superhero collection. You'd need her to build your own Justice League. She's an important heroine in the DC universe.
The figure itself may be a little disappointing given the quality of the other figures in the line (possibly because of the female sculpt), but it's still a nice figure that can be a lot of fun for kids. Not the best figure in the line, but good enough and an important character for a superhero collection.
