Toys and Games Reviews of D-Rex Interactive Dinosaur

Customer Review: A let down
Summary: 3 Stars

We got this for our 2 boys that are both 5. My son had been asking for this for months. If you asked him what he wanted for Christmas he immediately said D Rex. Since openning it he has played with if for 10 minutes and thats about the same for my step son. It looks great but the function does not live up. The remote response is slow, the seek function does not work well and he does not walk straight. Also the sensor for the guard mode is not that strong. I was thinking of returning them. Cool toy but now worth the price. If it were half the price than it would be worth.

Customer Review: This is a great toy.
Summary: 4 Stars

The D-Rex is a great toy. My son has absolutely loved it. The D-Rex behaves like a cross between a T-Rex and a family Dog. He wags his tail when you pet him. He belches and farts as a prank and kind of laughs after. That feature has had my kids laughing more than any other feature. My only complaint is that is seems to go through batteries really fast. I know that the complexity of the D-Rex has a lot of moving parts for walking, wagging, roaring, and the facial expressions. But it would have been nice if he had come with internal rechargeable batteries and a charger.

Customer Review: Great buy!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this for my 5-almost 6--year old son for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. It seems so real. We also bought Spike for my 3 year old and he is great too, although I feel this Dino is worth more. I bought D-Rex at Wal-mart when it was still [...], and I paid the same amount for Spike. D-Rex is more like a dog than a scary dinosaur, Spike is more scary with its movements even though D-Rex looks real and Spike does not. If you have to choose between the two, I would definitely pay a little more for D-Rex. This was one of the best purchases I have made for my son.

Customer Review: Wonderful! Really Something Different!
Summary: 5 Stars

Hesitant at first about purchasing this for my 5 year old dinosaur-mad little girl. Happy that I did. Does all it's advertised to do. Put batts in and tried it out before wrapping it up for Xmas....had a ball just playing with it myself. Looks a little mean in the beginning but it plays, growls, bites his bone, walks around the house "looking" at things & comes when you call it. It's like an ugly puppy that somehow starts to look adorable. Has great facial(?!)expressions. My daughter is going to LUV this, and to me, seeing her so happy is worth the pricetag. Super toy!

Customer Review: LAYTEX DRY ROTS
Summary: 4 Stars

Ok...I fell for it's cuteness, being a dino fan all my life. I bought it for my daughter for Christmas. She lost interest and it sat for months....I picked it up today-10 months after buying it and the laytex is cracking and breaking all over. The corners of the mouth ripping, legs cracking, chin sticky and losing elasticity.....if you are thinking about it-think harder. The ones that have been sitting in hot warehouses all summer will be damaged. They need to issue a recall on these. I won't buy another laytex anything unless it's a balloon.....
