Customer Review: Color-changing car works GREAT! Needs more cars

This makes a great toy for my 5-year old, but this toy is very wet. The overall concept of this toy is a car wash that has a car that magically changes color. When the car is in cold water it changes to red color, when it touches warm water it changes back to yellow. One thing we did to make the toy work better was to put ice cubes/cold water in the little tub at the bottom of the slide on the toy, and warm/hot water in the squirt bottle. this helps. So when you dunk the car into the cold/ice water it turns from yellow color to bright red. Then when you squirt the car with the hot water squirter, it changes back to a yellow car when the warm water touches the red car. The color changing works GREAT.... As promised! The kids think it is super cool. My 5-year old loves the car wash and squirting it to change colors... he's amazed. I put a bowl on the floor and he'll use it as a place to squirt the car with warm water to turn the car yellow.
This toy is very wet! You'll want to put it outside, or on a tile floor in the kitchen, or somewhere with a floor that can take a little water... somewhere where some water on the floor will be ok.
Also, it only comes with one car... I wish it came with 2 or 3 cars (even at at a higher cost), which would make it more fun for several kids to play. its tough for a few kids to play with the toy, because only one car changes color. You can use other cars with it (from some other toy, or matchbox cars laying around your house), but they wont be as much fun because they don't change colors. Overall, its a great concept for a toy, and the color changes works as promised.
