Customer Review: Grandmothers should allow about 3 hours to figure out how to assemble this

I finally did it.
My "ah ha" moment was that you really have to push the batpod hard to get it back into the its spring loaded cubical. There are 2 levels of clicking sounds. There is a quiet small click at 1st and I thought that was the click mentioned above, but there is a very loud 2nd click which seats the batpod and makes it fit properly.
If you don't get the batpod pushed back into that position, it won't fit and you can't get the roof to close. When the proper click occurs the batpod will rise up off the floor of the car, and then it all falls into place.
It took about 3 hours from start to finish - very poor instructions but helpful reviews above that kept me from pitching it.
I think my grandson will really like it now that I know how to show him how to do it.

My son is 5 and struggles to get this toy reloaded after shooting the batcycle out of the batmobile. The first step is to load the batcycle in backwards until you feel a spring resistance and then hear a click, it can take a few tries. Then you need to perfectly align both side with the rocket launchers attached by pressing them under the car, while at the same time pressing the top part down to latch the car back into position. This is just too complicated for young kids. My son can get it on occasion, but most times asks my husband because even I struggle to do it. We've had it for about a month and the car sits, he just plays with batman on the motorcycle. First off, the hassle free packaging is Tres Cool. I love it, love it, love it.
The toy is cool too. I bought this for my grandson for Christmas. I thought it felt flimsy, but it has been holding up well so far (which is more than I can say for some other toys I bought him). He doesn't seem to have trouble loading the bat pod, though closing the tumbler is a little bit of a challenge. He's fine with it.
All in all I'm satisfied with it, and so is he.
Did I mention how much I love love love the hassle free packaging?

I'm surprised by the reviews indicating that children have a hard time with this toy. My 3 year old can work it just fine, and he and my 5 y.o. have enjoyed this car so much that I wish I'd had the foresight to buy two so they could each have one.
They love it. The younger one tries to sneak it into his room to sleep with it under his pillow. It was 9.99 in Amazon's pre-Christmas toy deals, and this present has become more beloved than any of the much more expensive toys they got this holiday.

This is like 2 toys in 1: the Batmobile and the Batcycle from the movie. Both are very realistic and true to the actual Batmobile and Batcycle from the movie. When the launcher is activated, the motorcycle shoots out - going very fast and far. This is worth the money, and easy to operate. Highly recommend. Batman is molded onto the motorcycle, so he won't come off. Not a problem with me, because any action figure would fly off when the launcher was activated.
