Toys and Games Reviews of Barbie Mariposa Magic Wings Mariposa Doll

Customer Review: Great toy, but wings fall off
Summary: 3 Stars

My 3-1/2 year old loves this toy, even with the wings falling off. We bought this toy, the wings fell off and we weren't able to keep them on. We returned the toy and got a second one, and the wings still fall off, but we are able to pop them back on easier than the first. Regardless, she still loves the toy. But if you don't have time to put the wings on, or have a child that is a little rough with toys... don't buy. You can still use the toy as a regular barbie... she is very beautiful!

Customer Review: Sleeping with Barbie
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this doll as a Christmas gift for my 3yr old niece. She it. Since she got it, she's been sleeping with the doll:) My sister (her mother) tells me that everyday she combs the hair and dresses her up. I've seen the doll and the wings are really big, but very beautiful. While visiting, my niece kept asking me to take off and put on the wings. It's a little hard for her to do it herself, but besides that, the doll was a great buy:)

Customer Review: Not good enough for Goodwill
Summary: 1 Stars

Mariposa's shoes are all that's left of her.

Or I should say all that was slavageable. As many reviewers have noted, the wings refuse to stay on.

So leave the wings off?!

Without the wings, Mariposa has a huge, mechanical "wing holding" device sticking out the back of her dress. Just not something my 5 year old daughter is attracted to.

Mariposa went in the trash. I wouldn't want her to disappoint another family.

Customer Review: annoying
Summary: 1 Stars

Again, the wings fall off all the time. It's really annoying. If my daughter puts it down on its back, at least one wing falls off every time she picks it up. She loves the darn thing, but can't put the wings on by herself, so more than once has ended up crying because it keeps falling apart. I know it's only a matter of time before a wing gets lost - why would we ever want the wings to come off? Why couldn't they just fuse the wings to the doll in the first place?

Customer Review: THIS THING DOSENT FLY!!!
Summary: 1 Stars

Im 8 years old and i bought this for my allowance when i was about 4 years old and i have a big problem with this barbie. the wings don't really stay on that long and you have to fold the wing's in a sertain way to make them fly.( when i talk about flying, obviously, i am stating that the wings do not flap.) i do it correctly, but they don't fly and her dress dosent stay on! why did i buy this thing in the first place? because butterFLIES are supposed to FLY!!!
