Unless you let your dog destroy it (like the one I bought previously), it's a rather durable device. My 6 year old daughter is having a great time with it and saving a little money to buy the accessories herself. We bought this for our 4 year old girl for christmas and she loves it. Very durable and easy to use. Used windows media player to download music to the barbie player without any difficulty. Has a good battery life and is durable. Couldn't beat the price. She has an older sister that has an ipod so she thinks the fits in now too!Customer Review: GREAT!

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She is 5. I wasn't sure if this was too advanced for her, but I loaded it with kids music (free off the web) and she listens to it all the time. Great gift.
Item is durable enough to handle what she puts it through and large enough she can handle it and not lose it.

Such a great low cost alternative to an ipod for a younger girl. She loves it and uses it all the time. We have had it since Christmas and no damage yet even with 2 younger siblings running around. My husband bought me a Zune at the same time and he hada much easier time getting this set up than he did with mine.
