My 6 yr-old daughter got this Barbie Girl MP3 for Christmas and hasn't stopped listening! She also got an accessory pack with two outfits, so its fun to change the clothes and give her MP3 a whole new look. From the parent perspective, the pieces, shoes especially, are TINY. Within weeks I'm sure we'll be missing parts. The sound quality is good for the price, it seems to be quite durable, and its easy for her to operate. It is cumbersome when she wants to hear a particular song, since there is no screen to select from... she has to skip through every song until she finds it and gets irritated. Regardless, it is a great MP3 for a beginner and it is very cute!Customer Review: Great Idea but Not Durable...

I bought this for Christmas for my 6 year old niece. She LOVED it, but sadly it broke the next day. The part where you put the headphones in became so loose the headphones wouldn't stay in. She was very patient as I got a new one and returned the broken one. But then the second one broke in the same place the following day. My poor niece was very disappointed. I am now returning the second one and will get her a more reputable mp3 player.
Sadly the mp3 player part is a total piece of crap, which makes it a very bad toy. It was so disappointing for my niece. I would not recommend this or order it again myself for that reason.

My daughter loved this gift from "Santa". She played with it everyday for about 2 weeks straight. She is bored with the songs that are currently on there, but I think if I find some more songs to put on it, she would never stop listening to it. My daughter is only 5, and she isn't really interested in changing the clothes as much as I thought she would, but she loves fact that the mp3 player is small enough to put in her pocket, or hook on to her. I love the fact that you can just charge it on the computer, and not have to worry about batteries!!!Customer Review: Barbie MP3 holds 240 songs

This was inexpensive and therefore a good buy for my 5-1/2 year old daughter. (I got it for $12.99) It fits all her favorite CDs (HSM, Disney, Camp Rock, etc). And, I don't have to freak out if she loses/damages it. The only big drawback is that you can only hit forward or backward to choose songs, so if you want to listen to song #10 out of 250 songs, you have to scroll through quite a few songs if the last song you played was like #125. But overall she loves it and it is way cheaper than Ipods and other MP3s.Customer Review: Barbie MP3

Bought two of these for my 8 year old and 5 year old girls for Christmas. Even though they both were excited about the online content, they quickly lost interest (unlike Webkinz). Software and the MP3 player does not work with a Mac. Works OK with Windows Media Player. Headphones are terrible, but my girls don't mind them. I found that if they are wearing their headphones while doing chores (picking up room or play room) they get the work done faster and don't argue - worth the price for that alone.
