After so many times of playing this game with friends I simply had to order my own set.
This Mattel version collects all of the old Out of the Box Apples to Apples, as well as their expansion set one (but Out of the Box's Party Box is the same thing).
All in all, it's a great party and social game; however, I found that the enjoyment level depends on the crowd you're playing with. In a more open, comfortable and rowdy atmosphere, this game can be a riot. But when I played with a handful of friends just because we were bored, we still had fun, but not as much as when we played other times.
It's a great set, and the wooden box is nice and durable.

In the game of hilarious comparisons, your goal is to choose the Red Apple card in your hand that best describes the word selected on the Green Apple card. For example, if the Green Apple card says Misunderstood which Red Apple card would you choose - The Universe, Michael Jackson, Duct Tape, or Hangnails? If the judge chooses your card, you win that round. Everyone gets a chance to be the judge, and every round is filled with surprising and outrageous comparisons from a wide range of people, places, things, and events.
