I purchased this for my grandson and it managed to shoot a marshmellow 1 of every 5-6 attempts. It plugged and then the gun needed to be removed, cleaned out and put back together again.
I had allowed the marshmellows to dry for 48 hours thinking they would be less likely to stick/gum up........not helpful. My best advice would be to skip this and purchase a Nerf gun like I did.

I opened it before the birthday party. I couldn't wait for her to get home from college. We got the marshmallows(off brand)and that proved to be to much for me to resist;I started shooting my husband and the fun had begun. When she opened the present her young cousins were surprised as well as the seniors at the party and then the marshmallows started flying and so did the laughter.Customer Review: not worth the price tag

I bought three of these, thinking the boys in our house would love them for camping and all out fun. They have never worked properly and no matter what you do the marshmallows stick to the tube. I knew of this potential when I bought them and even took steps to "dry" out the marshmallows with no success. Save your bucks for the potato pellet gun -more relieable and half the price.Customer Review: Save Your Money

We purchased three Shooter's for our grandchildren. Within 5 minutes all of the Shooter's jammed and would not fire. Two of the shooter's had problems with the seals. We tried cooling the mashmallows, rolling and making marshmallows smaller; to no avail. The children ended up pretending (without marshmallows).......a expensive lesson. These shooters were a big hit on Christmas morning, no worries of "shooting an eye out" I think the dogs like them as much as the boys did. The dogs ate so many marshmallows that they started to bury them for later. Great fun for kids of all ages(husbands, Dads and uncles), easy to load, but the kids suggest that the shooters hold a hole bag of marshmallows.
