Toys and Games Reviews of Marshmallow Shooter

Customer Review: Fun toy, if it weren't for the Jams
Summary: 3 Stars

This is a two piece plastic assembly with a removable marshmallow tube. Pump action creates pressure propelling the marshmallow about 15 to 20 feet.

Unfortunately, marshmallows (if at room temperature) get stuck frequently. I spent 6 times on the day after Christmas removing marshmallows from the nozzle. It appears that the ammo needs to be perfect in shape and colder than room temperature. I would prefer if this were used outdoors but I could really foresee antpiles everywhere.

Aside from the Jams, which stick like glue, this toy is fun for little kids. If it can shoot dog kibble, at least the floors would be cleaned up, after my daughter shoots the ammunition everywhere.

Customer Review: GREAT FUN !!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a huge family and ended up buying 18 of these shooters for christmas.
We had TONS of FUN!!!
Don't jam pack the tubes , marshmallows can get sticky and stuck in the tubes.
On some you have to pump more than others, none of the 18 were duds (read the directions).
Two of the kids stuck fingers in the chambers trying to get out marshmallows that got jammed. It got more stuck.
Again, don't smush, they are marshmallows, gently remove with a chopstick DO NOT WET THE SHOOTER MOISTURE AND MARSHMALLOWS DO NOT MIX WELL. Regular flour works great in there to help ease it along.
More than 2 months later we all can still have marshmallow wars.

Customer Review: Not worth the money!
Summary: 1 Stars

This toy looked like it would be a lot of fun. The concept is fun, however, this product is badly constructed and flimsy. We purchased 4 for our family , 2 were broken within minutes. The seals failed to hold so that enough pressure to shoot the marshmallows could be built up. Even while following the directions, and not using excessive force, one shooter's loading chamber snapped off at the base. The 2 remaining shooters quickly became jammed with marshmallow. We spent more time clearing out the chambers than shooting marshmallows. In short, this product is a piece of junk, save your money and build you own using pvc piping.

Customer Review: Every college student should own a marshmallow shooter!
Summary: 5 Stars

One marshmallow shooter can provide hours of entertainment--shooting RAs, random people walking by (shooting up and letting marshmallows drop from the sky is best), etc. Even better, when your roommate also has a marshmallow shooter. We are rallying for more troops and planning an attack on the campus unofficial duck-tape-sword figting club. I look forward to using my marshmallow shooter often and recommend this great toy to everyone looking to for harmless mischief.Marshmallow Shooter

Customer Review: Corn starch will cure this gun's ills
Summary: 3 Stars

We got these for Xmas yesterday, and had the same jamming problems as most other people. The corn starch remedy works pretty well for us. Powder the inside of the barrel, as well as the detachable tip. Sometimes more force than a 7 year old can muster is needed if a small jam occurs, and then Dad (me) helps out.

Hot water to clean out the gooey marshmallow from the tip also helped us.

Cold/refrigerated mini-marshmallows are more firm and help prevent jamming.

When they work, they are great fun. When they don't, they are a pain in the tuckus.
