Toys and Games Reviews of RipRoar - Creation StationCustomer Review: Neat idea but... Summary: 2 Stars
We bought this item for the kids for Christmas. I think the idea is great to let kids make their own videos so that they can explore their creative side. But, the software wasn't very kid-friendly and the instructions didn't help that much either. Next the cheap plastic tripod that came with it broke the same day. I gave the kids an old tripod to use with it and that seems to work out great. Also, the camera is USB powered so you have to have the video camera hooked up to your computer via a USB cable while recording. So you're limited to using the camera only as far as your USB cable's length.
As I said before - it's a good idea but the product could be better.
Customer Review: Great concept...lousy execution... Summary: 1 Stars
I was excited about purchasing this product as a gift for my 11 year old son. However, it was a losing situation all the way around. The hardware is made of cheap plastic that was broken before ever being opened. And it went downhill from there because the software won't work without the hardware. The only thing of value that I saw was the green screen, which I thought was nice. However, not for the money. We ended up getting charged a restocking fee from Amazon when we returned it, even though it was broken. So between shipping fees and restocking fees, I lost about 25% of what I paid without getting anything useable. Definitely not worth the time or money.

DO NOT BUY THIS I spent an hour on the phone just to install the software. Then the software didn't work but finally 3 hours later the software came around and stared working. BUT then the camera didn't work another 30 minutes on the phone. Eventually I filmed some stuff then I wanted to edit it well the software was slow, when I was tried to apply the changes to the video its FROZE!!!! It wasn't that surprising that it froze though so I just gave up. So incase your still wondering DO NOT REPEAT DO NOT BUY href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NI2Y76/ref=cm_cr_asin_lnk/177-3112610-0677436">RipRoar - Creation Station
Customer Review: Perfect toy for a Bad Little Kid Summary: 5 Stars
If your kid has been bad all year, this is the perfect gift ! Your child will be so disappointed when he tries to use this piece of crap that it will being tears of joy to your eyes... My child only had one wish this Christmas and this was it. Boy was the video hilarious when I filmed his sheer disappointment trying to use this cheap piece of plastic. If your kid was good this year, do him a favor and just give him cash. I am sure that one week after Christmas, every mall trash bin will have several of these in it. Just go pick one up for free, it will still be a rip-off because of the time wasted. My son said this is a rip-off, not a rip roar.
Customer Review: Christmas Disappointment! Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this for my 9 year old son who has been into writing screenplays lately. Sounded wonderful at the time, but there were no reviews when I bought it so I just researched around the internet for a bit. It came without a USB cable, though that was listed on the box. The tripod screw broke off in my son's hand with the first attempt to put the camera on it. The software.....well, after much trying it is downloaded but we can't get it to open up. What a disappointing Christmas present. I'd have been better off getting him a cheap 'flip' video camera and inexpensive green screen software. This thing is heading back for a refund.
