Toys and Games Reviews of RipRoar - Creation StationCustomer Review: Do I HAVE TO give it a star? Summary: 1 Stars
This was a joke. Purchased the whole kit with the green screen and everything for our little daughter, (she was so excited!) but we couldn't even download the software because the connector kept separating from the video aparatus. Look at other reviews online, you'll find it is common. Lost the receipt and ToysRus didn't even want to do an exchange, even when we said we would bring a copy of bank statement showing payment. Finally they begrudgingly gave us the sale price of $[...], when we paid like $[...]. What a rip. Lost over $[...] in a few days with nothing but wasted gas, energy, and time. Just buy your kid a digital cam and let them play with vid's OL..there's tons of stuff to help them create video's. But out of my almost 50 years...this product was the WORST EVER.
Customer Review: Don't waste your time. I did it for you! Summary: 1 Stars
This is the worst item. I had high hopes. I wasted four hours just with the software. Even the WEB site indicates people are having issues and so does the outside of the box with a yellow sticker READ FIRST.
Never worked on one XP computer. Finally worked (sort of) on the other XP computer, both high end units. It kept lauching Photoshop Elements when you lauched the Creation Station software. Half the time it would fatal error. The camera would freeze. The cable would come loose and launch PS Elements again. The bonus clips were very poor quality. The kids would have hated it and become frustrated. Buy Adobe Premiere Elements, a cheap web camera and a lime green table cloth at the party store and you'll be much happier.

I also have a degree in computer mathematics and work with machine / human interface issues and was very disappointed with this product (OS XP). The CD did not install as per the instructions. The instructions themselves are poorly written especially for the age group this product is targeted for. The quatlity and durability is very poor. Tripod does not support camera. The tripod broke the first time we used it (trying to tighten it down to support the camera). The software is very hard to use and very frustrating. I did not even want to expose my kids to this very disaappointing product. Its on the top of the return list. Rating this product with 1 star is giving it more credit then it deserves.
Customer Review: Don't waste your time or money Summary: 1 Stars
This is such a poorly made product. The USB cable that came with the kit fit poorly into the camera. The camera would freeze up and shut down the computer. I uninstalled/re-installed this program 7 times!
I went to the RipRoar website for tech support only to find out that they ONLY correspond via email. That's not going to do when your child is dressed up and ready to make their movie. This is rediculous. I saw the poor reviews but the product had been reduced 70% at another retailer, so i thought it was worth taking a chance.
Let me tell you it's not worth your time, money and most importantly the heartbrake of your child. Please head this review and DO NOT purchase this product.
Customer Review: Yep, its bad. Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this on clearance at Kmart, thinking it sounded interesting, and in the worst case at least I got a green screen. That's about all I got. And since the green screen comes in two pieces, I imagine the seams will cause issues.
I actually got it installed and the software running. But the video stream flickers between what's actually in front of the camera and some previously recorded image. Then it eventually crashes the software. I downloaded an open source webcam program to see if it will work with that, and it had the same problem, and crashed that too.
You can't even use the software with another webcam. It won't start unless the RipRoar camera is plugged in.
