Toys and Games Reviews of RipRoar - Creation StationCustomer Review: "Listen" Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this item with high hopes. When I got it it had a yellow sticker that said "read first" it when on and on about how a HUGE majority of the people who bought this were having problems. I had MANY problems but I am not going to bug you so I'll just tell you the "Pros" and "Cons"
PROS - NONE.
CONS - the camera is a small , plastic , and break-able.
the tri pod is small , plastic and break-able as well.
the green screen tape actually ripped the paint of my wall. The green screens get very wrinkly VERY easily.
Please don't buy this.
You'll get more enjoyment from a cone of vanilla ice cream
There is a 53% chance you will actually break it within the first hour. There is a 22% chance that the disk won't even be recognized. There is a 15% chance that the tapes won't rip the paint of your wall. There is only a 10% chance you will actually get the program up and running and have a good time with it.
So that means you have a better chance of falling down Niagra Falls and living then get the program up and running picture perfect the way you want it.
Trust me I did the math.

Customer Review: If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is! Summary: 1 Stars
When I first saw the commercial for The Creation Station by Rip Roar I was all excited about this camera, because now it meant there was a chance for me to add special effects to my videos, but I should've known better! I actually got the Creation Station camera at our local Wal-Mart. I took it home & when I first pulled it out of the box, the leg on the tri pod snapped in half!I thought to myself, uh, oh! That's a bad sign! Even worse, I couldn't upload any of the softwear to my computer! I had to take it back to Wally world to get my money back, but once you bought it from Wally world, you own it! Because they wouldn't return give me my money back because the box had already been opened! Duh, I was the one who opened it! So now I got two nice green screens that I can't even use! Maybe it should say something like, The Creation Station camera by Rip Roar, warning, it's a total rip off!
P.S.Do not, I repeat,
do not waste your money on this folks!I wish I hadn't!Like my Mom always said, if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
Customer Review: Pretty good toy Summary: 5 Stars
Ignoring the bad reviews I decided to get this for my son as a present. Most of the bad reviews were pertaining to installation problems, so I decided to open it up and install it on my pc before giving it to him. It was almost too easy to install the software. I had to explore the disk to find the installation file, but when I did find it the installation & update went really smooth. I had no problems installing it on my son's pc either. We both use Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2.
My son really loves this camera, but he does not get to play with it much yet. We are going to rearrange the living room so he can have a better place to put the green screen and make more movies. The only problem I have is that the camera needs to be connected to a pc/laptop to record and I'm not moving his computer to his room.
Other than the restricted location, I think the creation station was a great buy. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Customer Review: RipRoar - Creation Station - Bad garbage Summary: 1 Stars
I got this toy for my son for chistmas, had very high hopes for it. I am film maker and thought this would be great for him. I installed it on 4 different computers (worked on 2 out of 4) You can only use the software with the very baddly made camera (it feels like it will fall apart if you sneeze on it) I spent over 2 hours trying to get it to work, I finally did and the software is so buggy I packed it up to ship back to amazon. I learned me leason to not buy any toy with out reading a review ( I searched the net before buying and no reviews, so I hope this helps someone from buying this garbage.
PROS: just that I can get my money back
CONS: Too many to list, they should not be able to release toys like this untill they are tested first.
overall: stay away, buy a green table cloth from a party store, a webcam and Sony video vegas
Customer Review: Nothing is Good about this cheap product Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this for my video crazy 11 year old. It is one of the worst investments we have ever made. The tripod was broken when we opened the package. It is made of lightweight cheap plastic. The software freezes every time we try to use it and we have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work. The camera is really just a webcam that has to be attached to the computer to use, so you are limited to the length of the USB cable. The other problem we had is that everytime we uninstall and reinstall, we lose the previous AVI files. We get better results recording video from our digital cameras. Some problems may be associated with Vista, which has some problems itself, but our PhD Software Design friend even had trouble with this piece of junk. We tried it on two other XP machines and it still would freeze up. My son was brokenhearted that his gift didn't work.
