Customer Review: Don't bother with this set Monsters vs aliens

This was part of a couple of items I purchased at Christmas for my 3 1/2 year old son who loves the Monsters vs Aliens movie. The set was on sale and I figured he would love the robot. I failed to understand what the description "exploding robot" ment. There is a button that causes the robot to explode into five pieces. The problem is you really do not need to even touch the robot for the pieces to come apart. This made my son very upset because he would just pick up the robot and the arms would fall off. I ended up permanently attaching the arms to the robot with a hot glue gun. The head doesn't come off as easily and we discarded the arm shields. Now he can at least play with it without total frustration. I also removed Susan's shoes because they will not stay on. I would recommend not spending your money on this set. Instead I'd look for something was more durable and a better value.
