This is one of the very few toys that both my 6 year old son and 10 year old daughter absolutely love. They can't get enough of it...literally...it comes with lots of extra JUNK (the pen, storage case) but not enough beads and templates. Also, it comes with bad instructions and we wasted many beads figuring out the correct way to make them. You need to really soak the beads with water then let it sit for about 2 hours. then carefully pull it off the tray, turn it over (it will be sticky) and let it sit on a flat surface for another couple hours. If you do this they stick together amazingly well and my kids can't even pull them apart when trying. Also, my kids gave up on the pen after the first 15 minutes and just drop the beads in by hand. I am frustrated at the price I have to pay for refills and the fact that I have to buy all that junk again to get additional templates, but I must say my kids love this toy...and who am I kidding...I love it to, loads of fun and the final creations are really neat.
