This is a very fun and unique toy. I got mine on sale for $30 dollars, and I'm still not sure if I would spend the price it is originaly at, but, its still fun. there are many different options. a cool feature is plugging in your ipod and playing with your music, even though I find if the volume is too low, you can hear a static noise. the sticks are somewhat useless, I rather use my hands, because the sticks are big, and sometime cause it to play more then one tube. overall, I think this is a very fun gadget, perfect for the percussionist.Customer Review: Loved it but it died

My 5-year-old loved this toy but it has completely died. Sad because he thought it was great fun. E-mails to the customer service listed in the manual bounce and it's way too expensive to buy a replacement.
We did also have a huge laugh because it was near impossible to remove from the packaging. Directions were INSIDE the box when we finally got it open (no joke, it took at least 30 minutes, a phillips screwdriver and lots of patience).

The concept of this instrument is great, very different from anything else on the market in this catagory...however, it is very difficult to get any precision when playing it, because the tubes are so close together. It takes some time, effort, patience, and practice to play an actual tune on it. Definitely an instrument for an older child. The sound effects are awesome though! The packaging on this product is crazy; you don't find out you have to undo the bottom screws until you already have the package open somehow. ;-) Besides that, this is a lot of fun, with lots of different ways to use/be creative with it. I got it for an adult who is getting into percussion, not a kid, and he seemed really intrigued (we've seen the Blue Man Group).Customer Review: hours of fun

My son is 7 and this was his favorite Christmas gift. He even brought it in the car with him to play on a road trip. He hooks up his ipod, puts on his headphones and plays along with his favorite songs. He's even learned the drum rhythms for a couple of songs. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Great toy! He prefers it to the expensive Yamaha keyboard he received.
