I got the coloburst(pastel)for my now 2 1/2 year-old daughter when she was only a few months old. Since she had chewed on it, I wanted to get a new one when I found out I was expecting a boy. We got the classic(bright colos) before he was born. He was able to grasp at it in only a month or two, due to its narrow rods, strecthy bands and light weight. My daughter still plays with it. The moving parts, ease of holding and ablity to compress make it a great toy to learn how and why things work and teach color recognition. My 2 1/2yr old has not tired playing with it and I see it being around for some time to come.Customer Review: The 4 month old approves!

My 4 month old daughter received this for Christmas and she LOVES it! She grabs it, chews all over it, sticks her foot in it and then gets furious and slings it across the room. Then she fusses until you give it back to her. I'm not quite sure why she gets so mad at it but its hilarious to watch. And if you give her a choice of which toy to choose, she will pick this one everytime.
On the other hand my 7 year old can't leave it alone either. She loves to bend it, twist it, and watch it bounce back into shape. All in all, it's a great little toy that gets plenty of playtime at my house.

My 4 month old wanted her hands on the Skwish as soon as it came out of the box. At five months it brings a smile to her face when she hears it. The toy makes a wonderful swishing sound when it is moved, very soothing. All the wood is polished smooth, perfect for chewing on. The elastic bands allow it to be smashed and pulled with out loosing shape, and little hands can grab on easily. The Skwish is easy to grab shake and throw providing long stints of entertainment. I am positive this toy will be enjoyed into the toddler years. I enjoy playing with it as much as my little girl!Customer Review: Father more interested than 6 month old baby

My son liked the toy and bought it for his 6+ month old son. My son plays with it more than baby. Toy looks dangerous as it could be used as a hurling weapon. (My other son chipped my front tooth with a baby rattle he hurled.) Tiny fingers could get caught under the beads when the black links are stretched. I personally think this is a toy designed by well intended geeks who do not realize babies are want to chew on things. This is not a proper chew toy. This toy should not be used without 100% supervision. This toy offers nothing more than looking like a fun toy for parents.Customer Review: Skwish

I bought this for my nephew that was coming to visit from Germany. He is 13 months old and loved it (since it is labeled for 0-12 months). It was perfect for the plane ride (9 hour ride) since it is light weight can be "skwished" with out breaking it, and it doesn't make much noise (it only makes noise when the wood pieces slide on the ropes and hit each other). This is the kind of toy that can be bought for a much younger (3 months or so)child and it will grow with them. I would absolutely recommend this toy for car rides, plane trips or just playing around the house.
