I ordered this little doll for my 2 year old daughter for Christmas.
I had searched for a long time for a soft baby doll made entirely out of cloth that was well made. Plastic ones are great, but they tend to be cold and hard when a child wants to sleep with them because they aren't comfortable to snuggle. Most rag dolls are not babies, but rather older girls (i.e, Madeline, Raggedy Ann) and often cheaply made with painted faces. This doll fit the bill.
The Baby Stella doll is soft and light without being flimsy. She is easy for a small person to carry and cuddle. She is well made and has the cutest little belly button!! I love the magnet feature in her mouth so that you can stick the pacifier on there, but truthfully, that is just icing on the cake and can easily get lost. I think that the clothing and accessories marketed for this doll are overpriced, but her clothes are well made and easy for little hands to dress and undress. My daughter loves this doll and totes her everywhere. I have seen comparable dolls at high end children's retailers costing much more with cloth faces that were rough and easily soiled. She can be thoroughly spot cleaned without the telltale water marks that cloth dolls tend to get when washed.
I don't think you will be disappointed if Stella comes to live with you!!

Ok, so I know Baby Stella is supposed to be for slightly older kiddos, but my daughter is so fascinated with her stuffed animals, I figured I'd take a chance on Baby Stella for her first doll. I hit a homerun. She got so excited just looking at her in the box, that I didn't have the heart to wait until the holidays to give it to her. Her first encounter with Baby Stella, she grabbed her by both arms, pulled her close and give her a big kiss on the head. Ok, not a real kiss, but she put her in her mouth and went mmmm. She smiles so big and her eyes glow when she sees her. More about the doll: I removed the headband and pacifier. Don't need those loose pieces around for such a young one. I also <gasp> fully immersed stella in water and gave her a good hand washing (this is against the manufacturer's suggested washing - they say surface clean only). Well, Baby Stella survived her bath, and now I have peace of mind. She's manufactured in China, and I'm overly paranoid about toy safety, especially with toys from China given their recent wrongdoings with baby items.Customer Review: We love baby Stella

We have had Stella for over a year. My daughter is appreciating Stella more as of late (she is loyal to no doll - her heart belongs to blankie). The outfit and diaper Stella came in are difficult to put back on; they are quite tight. I looked at reviews for some additional clothes for Stella and reviewers said those were tight as well. She fits into some of my 20 year old Cabbage Patch outfits just fine. My daughter prefers her nude anyway. Have not had to wash Stella yet, so cannot comment on how she holds up.

My 15 month old daughter just got Stella this last Christmas. It's her first baby and she LOVES her! I am looking forward to getting her some of the accessory kits. My only concern with Stella is keeping her clean. Her softness is a plus, but if she gets yucky I don't think I want to put her through the washing machine like I do all the other plush toys. This was my reason for only giving 3 stars for durability.

I just purchased baby Stella for my daughter for Christmas, she will be turning 1 shortly after and I wanted a sturdy but safe first doll for her. I debated if baby Stella would be what I was looking for so I delayed ordering her for awhile. After looking in toy stores and online I didn't see anything that I cared for and kept going back to baby Stella. I finally gave in and ordered her,I had been looking for Stella in the bunny outfit in peach but for some reason could not find her so was alittle disapointed that I had to order the one with the other outfit but when I received her in the mail she was beautiful. I couldn't ask for a better 1st doll for my daughter. I was pleased with her outfit, it's so soft and Stella is just the right size for when my daughter will receive this as a gift. I plan on purchasing stellas stroller and feeding set as additional gifts. This is a perfect gift and will last for years to come.Customer Review: Best baby doll ever

Baby Stella is absolutely the best baby doll ever! I bought her for my daughter's first birthday, and it is the best $25 I've ever spent on her. I'm not a big fan of dolls in general (find most of them to be kind of creepy) but I love Baby Stella. She is cute as a button, and very soft and cuddly...not hard plastic like most baby dolls. My daughter really started playing with her around 15 months, and they have been inseparable ever since. Literally. Baby Stella sleeps with her every night and goes EVERYWHERE with us...the grocery store, the chiropractor, vacations, etc. And, thankfully, she is incredibly well made. She has been through the washing machine AND dryer at least 20 times in her little life and still looks almost as good as new (she's been with us over 2 years now) I can't recommend Baby Stella highly enough!
