I'm very impressed with this car. It's solid, very well-built, and will obviously withstand our very rough 4-year-old boy. The parts aren't so tight that he would find it difficult to disassemble and reassemble, but they aren't so loose as to come apart unintentionally. Very well-designed. The excellent build quality aside, though, the best thing about this car is that its parts (tires, rims, front end, middle, rear, roof, and passengers) are interchangeable with the other Automoblox cars in the series. He can let his imagination run and design and re-design his own cars the way he wants them to look. He can't wait to get new cars now so he can build more. Absolutely wonderful, solid toy that really works the imagination. Highly recommended.
Description of Automoblox S9-R Sedan Blue/Black (990099)
A souped up version of the already hot S9 sedan, the S9-R rides lower to the ground on larger more aggressive wheels with ultra low profile tires. Front and rear blocks unique to the S9-R have been reworked to accept and aggressive front splitter and purposeful rear diffuser. A large front air intake and deeply sculpted side skirts direct air under and around this hot machine. Reduced to 3 blocks instead of the 4 body blocks of the standard S9, the S9-R's elongated center and rear blocks enhance customization of other Automoblox models. A deep blue hue compliments the aggressive styling. Two color emblems and fully branded center caps cap off this limited model. With deck and chin spoilers, rear diffusers, side skirts and other high performance styling cues, the Automoblox R-Line speaks the language of serious driving fun. Fully interchangeable with other models, R-Line owners can mix-and-match parts to build unique performance models or just add a little horse power to the current Automoblox styles. There are plenty of building and assembly-type toys on the market that include instructions and illustrations for your child to build the item pictured on the box. With Automoblox, your child plays outside the box - and builds the design pictured in his or her mind. With the goal of delivering benefits that are vital to the development of your child, Automoblox vehicles were created in collaboration with a child psychologist. The removable connectors allow the wooden body parts to be exchanged using a shape and color system unique to each vehicle.
