I rec'd this doll in a strange plastic bag w/o any sort of box. There was not any kind of company brand-name paperwork inside the weird bag. This doll was described as "New" w/o any explanation of this kind of packaging, in the advertisement of the doll. It made me think it was counterfeit or a black market version. I wrote Amazon a while ago (2-3 weeks) about this and have not heard any response back. Uncomfortable about giving it to my granddaughter, if it is a knock-off doll then the materials that the doll is made of - are probably not safe for children?! Who knows? I ordered this doll for my three year old granddaughter for Christmas after reading the reviews. I, also, ordered her two of the books. The packages came today. I loved both of the books and was delighted with the doll. I'm sure my prissy little red headed granddaughter will love these gifts so much that I'm planning to order another doll and several books while they are on sale and put them up for her fourth birthday. My grand daughter loves this character, so when I saw the doll I just had to get it for her. She hasn't seen it yet because it's a gift, but I know she will think it's just the best. She is three, and loves the Fancy Nancy books I have already given to her, and now she is old enough to take care of the doll. She is perfect-a great size 18" and she's all cloth so can be played with and carried everywhere.My 2 yr.old grandbaby will love her. Now she will have a connection between the Fancy Nancy books and the doll. All Fancy Nancy's little dress and dress-up bling is sewed in place, so they won't fall off and be lost forever. What a great doll to give that special little one who loves all the Fancy Nancy books, as well.Customer Review: So cute!

I was very impressed with the quality and details of this doll, especially the fuzzy slippers! The glasses are sewn on the sides but you can move them up and down over her eyes. Her tutu is way cute and held on with velcro so you can remove it. My only wish is that she could bend at the waist. She is soft but stiff so you can't really have her sit on a bed or in a chair.
