I bought these balls for my one year old son. I put them in a cheap blow up pool meant for the outdoors. My son loves his ball pit. At bedtime he will even go lay his head on the side with a look of pure joy. At his birthday party a 5 year old and a 2 year old played in there with him and no balls were crushed. My son's daycare bought some of these balls for there and so far has had 3 crush.
I make the ball pit an educational experience. When my son picks up a ball to hand to me I will repeatedly refer to it by it's color.
100 balls is not enough. I would recommend ordering at least 200.
