Toys and Games Reviews of MGA Chou Chou Mommy, Make Me BetterCustomer Review: Mommie Make Me Better with doctors extras! Summary: 4 Stars
This doll is so cute, she reacts to a spoon, she has all the extras that are in th doctor's offices. I would have given her a 5.0 overall score but the fact that she cries until you make her stop (not hard) and that the manufacture did not include batteries with a $29 doll made me give that part of her score a 3.0. I beleive that in today's toy world, a manufacturer is responsible for providing batteries if they make the toy require them. It's not too much to ask.
You need a tiny screwdriver and batteries with you before giving the doll to the child because that's the first thing they want to do, hear her laugh, her heartbeat and of course, her cry. Santa brought her and left her in the original package under the tree so none of us knew we needed batteries and while we are running around looking for just 2 more AA batteries, our 3 year old granddaughter is begging "please make her cry,Dee-Dee,P-L-E-A-S-E. Everyone had to stop everything they were doing to find a small screwdriver and batteries (which we ended up taking out of the alarm clock). After hearing the doll cry for 3 days after Christmas, I opened the doll up and turned her off. Our granddaughter hasn't yet found that she has 2 sets of velcro to get to a switch to turn her off-on, so we told her that the batteries died and we need to get more. That has worked for now but I doubt it take much time for her to find it, especially when she removes her outfit.. She takes the clothes off all her dolls and we told her not to take the clothes off this doll or the doll might get sick. That has prevented her for now from finding the on-off switch but it's only a matter of time. Her cry is not bad but her giggle and heartbeat is so cute. She's the size of a newborn, and perfect for any child playing with dolls.
I really liked the fact that the doll comes in black, white and oriental. She is really cute and worth what Santa spent especially since he had to bring her all the way from the North Pole and didn't get sick! :
he bcrying for 3 days

View additional items. | The Zapf Creation Mommy, Make Me Better doll will start crying when something is wrong, and it's up to you to help her get well again. When baby Chou Chou's kissable cheeks turn pink--or even bright red--use the thermometer to see if she's running a fever. If she is, giving her medicine with the included spoon will help the fever (and the color in her cheeks) go down. When she gets a boo-boo from an over enthusiastic pet or during one of life's daily lessons, placing a bandage over it should make it better--especially if it's kissed first like grownup moms do it. Listen to Chou Chou's heartbeat with the heart-shaped stethoscope, give her a pacifier to quiet her down, or press her tummy to hear her giggle. Chou Chou is dressed in a white and yellow outfit with a matching yellow cap and also comes with a small stuffed animal of her own to hold. While some doctors might claim two aspirin, we think a heaping dose of TLC is just the thing. Plus, this doll is prepared to give back as much as she gets.
