Customer Review: Plenty of Entertainment for Two-Year-Old's to Adults for Very Little Money

For so little money you can have a lot of fun with this game. Though the recommended age is 4+ my two year-old loves to play it and does rather well. Sure the idea is simple: put a little ball on a spring-loaded shooter (which rotates 15 degrees each way from center), aim, push the shooter down and let it go, shooting the ball at the basket. But we've found that there are many other fun ways to play. You don't need to keep score (which is good because there isn't a scoreboard on the game).
Because it requires only a short push and release to go in the basket, pushing the shooter all the way down will launch the ball over the cage, at your opponent's shooter. Try scoring a basket when someone it's raining basketball's on your shooter. If you're real talented, try landing it in the scoop of your opponent's shooter. The game only comes with 4 balls so you will get a little workout chasing after the balls. For that reason I recommend playing this on the floor, on carpet.
The quality of the game is pretty good, especially for the price. As I mentioned it is very simple so there aren't many parts that could break. If you are actually trying to score baskets, you might find you need to keep readjusting the little tubes that carry the ball from your basket to your opponent's court after you make a shot (Sorry, no make-it take-it). The product design is well thought out - each court folds up into the cage so when it's being stored the shooters, which rotate 15 degrees each way from center, are protected. Durability doesn't appear to be an issue.
This little game can be a whole lot of fun for so little money. I would not call this "cheap" at all. It's just a simple design that doesn't cost a lot to make. If your're thinking of buying it go ahead, you won't be disappointed.
