I bought this product for my daughters laptop. When we installed it it wasn't working. We shut it all down and re-started. We were still finding problems with it freezing and acting strange. My friend that works with computers opened the hard drive to find the place you plug the keyboard into the motherboard was fried. It ended up short wiring the motherboard and we had to replace it. After looking the keyboard over we found a slice in the cord. We think that may of caused the problem. The folks at Amazon and the manufactor have been very cooperative in responding to this issue I have to say. Just a suggestion before installing this, check the item for any damage before installing, it could cost you alot more than just $19.99.
