Customer Review: Inexpensive Fun for All

I was a bit worried when I first ordered it seeing some of the negative reviews that I would also get a bad batch, but mine came fully in tact and so far all of the ones that my friends and I have cracked have glowed brightly! The shipment came in a neat cylindrical tube with bubble wrap since they are fragile things. Without the tube my friends gently set them down in her drawer and one or two already cracked!
At first I thought there were only 4 colors since we had not encountered the orange one after going through 10-15, but the orange and pink glow sticks pre-cracking are VERY similar in color so it is somewhat hard to tell them apart. They all glow pretty brightly especially the yellow one, but I am not so sure if I can attest to them glowing brightly for 8-10 hours but it would be hard to tell in the light I suppose. I also noticed that there was a slight fluctuation of price from when I ordered it it was around $11 and now it's dropped to $8, not really too big of a difference considering the quantity.
Anyway besides those little tidbits, I must say we had a lot of fun with these glow sticks and I definitely would order from this company again especially if we were planning to have a rave party! Oh plus if you get them a really fun thing is to take some very interesting pictures with them in the dark with long exposure times :).
Customer Review: Bargain priced, decent performance, but perhaps not appropriate for young children

The price is certainly reasonable for these. I've found them to be bright enough in darkness, but barely visible in indoor lighting. The colors are bright and pure. The light output is adequately bright for a couple of hours, and progressively dimmer but still obvious for several hours more.
I found them to be easy to snap, but they seem to be constructed with many internal "segments", each of which must be snapped for the entire length to glow. I've found that the best way to do it is to hold one end between thumb and forefinger, and with the thumb and forefinger of the other hand, starting at the same end, bend/snap gradually along the length to the other end. Think of squeezing toothpaste from a nearly empty tube, which curls as you squeeze.
BUT! As some of the other reviews have said, be careful to neither bend the tube too sharply while doing this, nor to squeeze too hard. The tube is prone to cracking at the end and leaking if you do.
Hence, I would be cautious giving one of these to a small child to do for themselves, and I'd probably supervise rambunctious older children too.
At this price, it's a fair gimmick for a party or doling out an occasional nighttime treat for a child. Just have realistic expectations about what 12 cents apiece buys you. :-) And supervise smaller children carefully with them.

We purchased these for a family reunion and wore them on pool night. All the adults and children wore them & wanted to wear multiple bracelets and "necklaces". They combined different colors to make the "necklaces". I was handing them out and everyone kept coming back for more. It made for some interesting night-time videos and photos.
Everyone in the pool wanted some, even if they weren't part of the family reunion. They added an instant fun factor. When the night was over, we still had some left!
We used on the extras for the fourth of July & again we handed them out to family, friends, & strangers. The most fun aspect was that, again, the adults enjoy them as much as the children. The children of course find the most creative things to do with them.
These are meant to last only a few days & for the price for which they're being offered, they're worth every penny. Yes, you can get some fancier ones out there (two and three colors in one glow stick). But I'll tell you these work the same magic...they can start conversations with strangers and spice up the simplest of parties.

Customer Review: Good product for the price; not enough connectors

I've used about 50 of these and have had only 3 or 4 duds. The glow sticks are thicker than I thought they would be and are a little hard to bend if you're just using one to make a bracelet. However, I have not had any leak, as others have reported. Also, because of their stiffness, using just one to make a bracelet will sometimes put too much stress on the connector, causing the connector to crack. The glow sticks seem to last about 8 hours. My one big complaint is that I did not get enough connectors. There was no separate compartment of connectors attached to the tube. Instead, I received about 30 connectors which had been thrown into the Amazon packing box; as if there is a bin of connectors sitting next to these tubes at the warehouse, and the packer just grabs a handful and throws them in with your order.Customer Review: Good bargain

For the price, which was under $10, for 100 Lumisticks, this was a very good bargain. I purchased these for our vacation last summer - so the youngest of our family stayed visible when it was dusk outside. Not that it was ever dark enough that they couldn't be seen, it just helped make sure he didn't wander off.
Of course I wasn't using these as a babysitter or anything even remotely like that. It was just something fun for the kids, and practical for me. hough I must say they worked very well just to see the movement of the small children w/in the fenced yard. We were all running around together, all wearing light colors, and the younge ones little bracelets and necklaces glowed so they didn't wander, and stayed right with the older kids and with the parents.
