Yes, it's loud and the quacking is obnoxious but the kids really like it. My daughter got it for her 2nd birthday and has enjoyed it since then. We only played once in awhile for my sanity though. :) She's 4 now and too old for it but I'll keep it for my infant son to enjoy.
It is what it is.....it's not rocket science so if your 3 year old is doing algebra and playing Risk, (excuse me while I roll my eyes) you should probably not purchase such a simple game and expect him to be challenged by it.

i have 2 little sisters that are 4 there twins named abigal and nora my name is lily and i am 12 i hate two play with them but this is the best game i ever played with them ever. even when i babysit i bring it with me the kids love it and it teaches them colors in a way. i can waite till my little brother damyon gets older and i can play this came with him to he's only 3 mos old but i know it will last because some of the brats i baby sit for jump on it and it still dident even brake nock on woodbottom line: best toy for tots ever

I bought this item used from a thrift store. Have to say it does hold up well. Downfall is the storage, big box, the ducks quack if not placed properly. Since my daughter has her own playroom, noise is not much of an issue, but if you had more confined quarters I could see where this game would be annoying to adults. The game is appealing to those under 4, and they can play by themselves, extremely easy to setup, and play. Educationally it helps to learn colors and take turns. My daughter is 2 1/2 yrs. old and she first played with this game at Sunday school. Every week she runs to where the game is and takes it out to play with it. She constantly asks for it at our house. I bought it for her for Christmas. She loves it so much she even remembers to ask Santa for it when we go see him. She loves playing with all the ducks, picking them up as they move and matching them to the colors. I ordered this over amazon.com and got it within a week! I can't wait to see her eyes when she opens the game!!!Customer Review: Great Preschool Game!

This is a wonderful game for toddlers. I bought if for my daughter when she was two and it helped her learn to take turns and match colors. She absolutely loved it and still does. The ducks are like a duckpond and she loves getting to pick one. The only downside is that it is very loud and you can't set anything on top of the box when storing it because the on button located on the top of the game presses on even through the box. All in all, I highly recommend it to anyone with preschoolers!
