Toys and Games Reviews of Lucky Ducks

Customer Review: A fun first game that is easy for little ones to understand
Summary: 4 Stars

I recently bought this game for my son, who is nearly 3 and just getting interested in games. Until I read all the other reviews, I had hardly thought about how loud it is--my house is always loud as it is, between 2 small children and my husband's stereo! Most other games we have seen are still a little beyond my son's understanding, so I was happy to find one with very few, very straightforward rules. Even those rules are slightly beyond him--he sometimes tries to go out of turn, sometimes hands the ducks he picks to the person who has that color, & always wants to keep playing until we all get our ducks, even if he's already won. But he has a lot of fun and is learning the concepts of taking turns and playing games. I would recommend it unless you just don't like noisy games...but we do always play it on a carpet or rug!

Customer Review: Daughter Loves it & I HATE IT
Summary: 4 Stars

My daughter absolutely loves this game! It is one of her favorite games. My only complaint is, WHY o WHY couldn't they have put an on / off switch on this game! We stack our games up on the shelves and if you place any games on top of this larger box game it will start quacking and is impossible to get to shut off! I considered taking the batteries out but you must unscrew the compartment. What a hassle for each time you want to play. Even though this game quacks all the time, the batteries have held out well and structurally it has held out excellent considering we are always beating on the box to get it to shut up! If the company would but a shut off button on this game, I would quickly throw this one in the trash and race off to buy one with a shut off button. Still a great game for children.

Customer Review: Mother of Genius needs to learn grammer and spelling!
Summary: 5 Stars

My son got this game when he was 1 1/2 for christmas! He is now almost 11 (yes 11). He remembers this game still to this day! Christmas is approaching and he wants his new little sister to have the game! I agree with his decision to get this game for his sister, we are also purchasing this game for out nephew who is autistic, he is 6. This is a wonderful game that not only teaches colors it also teaches a few simpile morals that some parents neglect to teach there genius ( I mean children). Like sharing and taking your turn! Thanks~ Ladybug and froggys mommy~

**By the way~ Children are only young once and very impressionalble, why don't you save the ENGLISH, SPELLING, AND GRAMMER for yourself and let the little one enjoy being a kid! Thats one task he might need to learn! :)

Customer Review: Lucky Ducks and Twins
Summary: 5 Stars

Our 2 yr old twin grandsons just LOVE this game. They started out just watching the ducks circle the pond and love the noise..tho it can drive us crazy at times. They take the ducks in and out...at age 18 months....now they are going to be learning the colors on the bottom and colors matching on the lily pads....a new idea for them. I don't know if it's the noise, action or just the bright yellow ducks but they love it. The ducks fit nicely in a little hand or pocket and in the mouth...tho they can't choke on them. Our game is old and I'm buying a new one for the boys to have at their home...I can't part with the one at our house. Buy a few extra batteries but we hardly ever had to change ours....wouldn't want tears if the batteries ran low while they were here visiting. June in PA

Customer Review: be quiet ducks!!!!
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this game for my daughter when she was about 20 months old. She has had it about 6 months and still asks to play ducks. It's a cute game, it taught her 4 primary colors. She can't understand the game yet, so instead picks out ducks and matches the colors. So, now the problems. Apparently, the makers of this game never tried to pick up toys and this at the same time. You can't stack toys on the box AT ALL. There is no switch to turn it off, so if something sits on the box, the ducks start quacking. And by quacking, I mean constant. That's the only noise this game makes, and its quite loud (no volume control either). So basically, yes I would buy this game again but only because it is one of the few games a two year old could play. If there were others, I would get them.
