I am a game lover but my husband isn't much of a board/card game fan so it's hard to get him to play one with me. Fluxx is one of the few games he actually likes. We enjoy playing Fluxx with friends or just the 2 of us. We find the games usually lasts about 15 minutes and once everyone gets acquainted with the game, it is pretty fast paced. The one con about this game is that it does take some time for new players to learn the cards and get into the game.Customer Review: TIny box

When I saw the picture of the game on amazon, it looked like it would come in a bigger package...like in a box as big as a monopoly game box or something...but actually, it's about the size of 1 and a half decks of regular playing cards...so since I wanted to give this as a Christmas present, it kind of looks cheap and small, so now it's going as a stocking stuffer instead of a full present...for $12, i expected a lot moreCustomer Review: interesting game, knda complicated

I like the novel game model, but with the ever changing conditions and win goal, it can get a bit complicated as a family game with the kids. We had to make up some of our own rules as we played to make it playable, but I suppose that just goes with the nature of this mixed up game. Not your typical card game, and it deserves extra credit for that. However, it didn't capture my family's interest enough for replay value.Customer Review: Awesome fun!

The best way to learn how to play is to just play. After two games, we were all having a good time together. A great game for family, especially over the Christmas holiday (one of the cards is Draw 3, Play 2 if today is a holiday!). We had games that were two minutes and one that lasted an hour and a half.
It can be a logic game as well. You really have to consider which order to play your cards.

I bought this a few months ago after reading all the great reviews. I grew up in a family of game-players and expected to like it. After playing this several times with my 12-year-old son, we've put it on the back shelf. As the name suggests, everything is random and pointless. I don't enjoy it at all. My son only mildly does. Maybe in a larger group it would be more fun??? I don't really think so, though.
