This is one of my families all time favorite games! It is compact and only takes up a little space to play it. I have played with my 70 something parents and my twenty something daughter at the same time and we all "get it "and have a wonderful time. This game is a great equalizer. Just when you think you are going to win the game changes due to a rule change or an action by a player. The randomness allows anyone to win which increases the fun for all. I don't know what else to say about this unique game except for "it's fun." The graphics, colors, and gameplay are fun. It took us about 10 tries to get a good feel for the game which is a compliment since games that are too easy to learn are usually too boring to play more than twice. The instruction card is refreshingly short and helpful. This game was made by smart people for players who don't have be geniuses but are probably smarter than average. Who knows, maybe Fluxx will make you or your child a little smarter.Customer Review: Hours of Fun

This game is a cult classic and once you've played you'll be hooked (or not get it at all, but I've never seen that happen before). It's great fun for the family and provides laughs, confusion, and some healthy competition satiation. For those who don't know how to play, it's best to dive right in and wing it, after all, it is the game of Flux. I find it's the perfect gift for the friend who doesn't want anything or the relative who already has everything. This game really makes you pay attention! Literally the rules of the game change from player to player and if you don't read those cards carefully, you could get lost. I didn't think I was going to like it, and more, I thought my husband was going to hate it...but wouldn't you know, we really, really enjoy playing. What's more, our friends and family are all clammoring to get their own Fluxx set. LOL
Loads of unexpected outcomes and surprising and sudden wins. But more, loads of fun!!!

Game starts very basic (draw 1 card, play 1 card), but soon gets totally bizzare by drawing up to 5 cards and playing all the cards in hand. The rules are constintly changing, which can make the game complicated at times. But with the winning conditions changing each rouund, you try to set up a combo for the win. Doesn't allways work that way though because you sometimes are forced to play a card that makes your opponent win.
Lots of fun though!!
