Customer Review: This is Fluxxed Up....
Summary: 5 Stars

How it works: Well first off right now it's draw one, play one. Which means you draw a card and play a card. Oh? You're playing draw two. So I'm sorry, the rules've changed it's now draw TWO and play one. So grab another card. MY turn. Ahh, Draw two, play one. I'm going to play, play Five. So I gotta play all five of my cards. I have the chocolate keeper. I like to have chocolate, and sleep. And look, an action card, Rotate hands. So gimme YOUR cards I'll give you these.

My Story: I found about fluxx through a few gamer geek friends of mine I hung out with in college. Became nicely addicted.

Flash foreward 2 years after trying to find a deck and getting fluxx out of luck, I finally break down, go to the looney labs web site and order them there.

I take them into work and the first thing that happens is that one of my friends dan finds me shuffling my deck and comes over, sits down and asks to be dealt in. We play a few rounds and then get everyone in eyesight needlessly addicted. So now we have a few basic gaming rules. The moment dan enters the room and there's a fluxx game, he gets dealt in. Anyone sitting close enough to read the cards gets dealt a hand. No waiting for a new game. With Fluxx you can do that!

I can't tell you how many people I've got at work currently owning their own fluxx deck. It's gotta be at least a handful of people. It's almost like an addiction once you start playing. I don't know why, or how, but that's just how that is.

Customer Review: Get your Fluxx on!
Summary: 5 Stars

Shuffle Your cards and lets get started! O.K. My turn first. Hey! I have Death!
And an action. There's a goal to. Draw! Yeah! Lets put down the rule I just
Drew. It's the one that says draw 3 cards. Your turn. You draw, cackel maniacly,
and place down your action card. NO! It can't be. (sob) It is! It's, it's, trade
hands! Goodbuy death. Dang, all you had was a ton of goals! My turn. A keeper!!
It's time! I place it down after a quick kiss to the precious keeper. Now your turn.
You slowly draw, and place down a new rule. It's a keeper limit of two. I quitely
swear under my breath, then take my turn.

It went on and on, that game did. You were good, but I was better! I won with the death card
(which I managed to get back)and war! Fluxx is crazy fun! I bring it to school all the time. During
homeroom, the girls and I have crazy fun. If you don't own any version of
Fluxx, then you better get off your 244 (press shift and type these # to see
the word i'm saying) and buy this game, now!!

Customer Review: One satisfied family of game fiends
Summary: 5 Stars

My husband and I collect card and board games. We picked up the original Fluxx in a game shop in St. Louis, and it did not take long for us to become addicted to this game. It rivals the original Cranium for us--with the added benefit of being easy for the two of us to play alone. We now own Family and Eco-Fluxx, as well as most of the expansion packs and promo cards, and are buying the Martian and Monty Python versions now.

At every available opportunity we introduce the game to new friends and family members and have created some wonderful memories. It is a great game to play with adults, and if we are playing with the younger kids, we pull out the Family version. Sometimes we even shuffle a couple of the decks together to spice things up.

I cannot say enough to recommend this game to everyone! It is a blast. If you don't have fun playing this game, then you are either doing something drastically wrong or are playing with the wrong opponents!

Customer Review: Best Card Game EVER!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I happened to stumble upon an older version of Fluxx in a game store about 3-4 years ago. It was expensive for a card game but it sounded like fun so I bought it. When I got it home, I played with my friends and we became totally hooked. My small group of friends (4 of us and sometimes a few extras) played it over and over and over. The box was pretty well falling apart and the card edges were well worn. When I saw this pop up on Amazon, I had to buy it!

This version is a lot like the older Fluxx but with some added cards (and even a new type of card) that make game play more random and fun. My friends and I still love this game and still play any time we can. It can be confusing to a newbie, especially an older person but once you get the hang of it, you'll love it. There is strategy, randomness, and inside jokes about card combos that don't exist but you wish they did.

Customer Review: The silly fun game of changing rules.
Summary: 5 Stars

Don't let some of the reviews put you off this game for families. My niece and nephew managed just fine and they were 8 & 10 when they started playing. You must be able to read. Other than that, the game is quite simple.
You start with one card of instruction. As you play, more cards of instruction are played in front of you. At no time do you have to remember any of the rules..they are on the play surface in front of you. So even when they change, you can just look down and see what is new.
The goal to win changes frequently too. I think that this levels the playing field for most players. A small bit of strategy helps but really anyone can win.
Our family loves this game. We buy it for gifts. Our friends love this game. Every person that we have played it with went out and bought their own. Ingenious yet not difficult.
