Customer Review: What a pain to assemble!

My son received this for Christmas and has been having a blast putting things in the cart and pushing it all around the house. He is 16 months old and has been walking since he was 9 months, so he is a very stable walker. IF he was not, I would not recommend this toy at all. It is VERY tall in relation to a toddler and could tip easily if a child is using it to assist with walking. I will have to say that this was the most difficult toy we had to put together this year. My husband and I found it difficult to fit the basket together (it comes in two pieces) without having some areas that don't fit as snug as we think they should. The wheels are a cinch - it's just the basket that gave us trouble (I usually do not have ANY trouble putting toys together so this was a surprise) Regardless, we are pleased overall with the toy and do not regret having it in our home.Customer Review: Cute & Fun Shopping Cart But it does tip pretty easily...

My 20 month old loves this shopping cart, we bought it a long time ago thinking he would be able to use it (when he was about 12 months) but it wasn't until he was about 14 months that he really started playing with it. Now, he pushes it everywhere, fills it up with everything and anything and he really enjoys it BUT he tried to climb into the part where he normally sits at the grocery store and of course he is way too bit, anyway luckily I never take my eye off of him and caught him before he took a dive - not the shopping carts fault by any means. Though, I will say it tips very easily. Make sure your child is really steady on his or her feet before using this toy - if your anything like me and don't always go by the toy suggested guidelines just wanted to let you all know this before purchasing for a child too young. I don't know about anyone else out there; but, I think this is a great little shopping cart! My daughter and all of her friends love to play with it. They pack it full of junk, dolls, play food, stuffed animals, books and whatever else they can manage to cram into it. I would deffinitely recommend this shopping card! Matter of fact, I put it together myself and had -0- problems assembling and we haven't found it to be top heavy unless you pack it too full and try to knock it over. Very durable! I had previously bought a little generic shopping cart from a name brand toy store that was a piece of junk. The more you filled it up, it would pop apart where it snaps together and the wheels were cheap one-sided and wouldn't roll. We junked it and bought this little tikes shopping cart and are very happy with it. After hours of play it still looks new too!Customer Review: The most difficult toy to put together and poor quality

Ok, my daughter loves this cart. She's 18 months old (which the box indictated it was for) but she can't see over the handle and the cart tips over constantly. She bangs into everything with it since she can't see where she's going. This was the most difficult toy to put together. I was thinking about returning it as I was trying to insert the first screw. I think Little Tikes should spend the time to make screw holes instead of some long line indentation. The basket is flimsy, the fact that it's in 2 pieces doesn't help either. I purchased this one over the Leap Frog because I liked that this toy wasn't electric. It's so difficult to find toys without any "bells and whistles". This was my first Little Tikes purchase and will be my last...the quality stinks. I am very disappointed. I wish toy manufacturers would stop changing toys that were great.Customer Review: Good Fun, but be Careful!

This toy is designed for the 18 month upward bracket, and although our 16 month old is tall, and loves it - I feel it will suit older children better. Not too much in the way of educational value, apart from loading and unloading, and steering, but seems very well contructed overall. A minor spill involved one of the outer wheel covers coming off, but it was quickly and easily replaced, and has remained intact ever since. The basket WILL tip forward if too heavy an item is placed in it (your child for example) so caution please. Other than these couple of points it's good fun (even at her age) and she enjoys carrying around her favorite soft toys in it daily. I think she will continue to get more from it the older she gets, and durability wise it's better than a lot of other mobile items. Have fun, but keep an eye open!
