I purchased this Big Blue Rocking Dog for my Grandson who is only 8 month old. What a smile on his face when the toy was opened!! He rides his dog everyday and enjoys it. This item can be used until he's 3 years old and is a wonderful present for any child who can crawl and begin to stand. My 13 month old granddaughter loves it! We especially like the fact that the puppy is closer to the floor than a typical rocking horse, so we feel it is a very safe toy for her. If she falls off it at all, she does not have far to go. She really enjoys it; I would say it is her favorite toy at the moment. I would definitely recommend it.Customer Review: Ronan's Rocking Puppy

Our little grandson lives on the East Coast and we are in the Midwest, but our daughter sent us a video of him playing with the Rocking Puppy. We sent it to him when he was 10 months old, and he was having a great time with it! We were surprised that it was larger than we thought it was going to be. MY GRANDSON JUST TURNED 1 - I WASN'T SURE IF HE WOULD BE ABLE TO GET ON & OFF BY HIMSELF BUT IT IS LOW ENOUGH THAT HE WAS ABLE TO DO IT. OF ALL THE PRESENTS HE RECEIVED HE TOOK TO THIS ONE RIGHT AWAY. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG PURCHASING THIS. we purchased this for our 13-month-old at a local toys r us for $19.99. Like the other reviewer, we find this more for older baby/toddler. Mine doesn't seem to enjoy the rocking, although she does like to play with the puppy's ear, nose & eyes.
update: my baby starts to enjoy this at 17-month..
