I will pretty much just deal with the assembly issues here. First - kudos to Little Tikes for developing video instructions that are available online at www.littletikes.com/videoinstructions. I highly recommend watching them. IMPORTANT ISSUE - The video is for the standard coupe. If you have the police car or fire engine, there are some variances like attaching the light bar, etc. Don't rely on just the video. Use your paper instructions as the primary and the video as a visual helper.
Don't forget the washers when assembling the wheels. Assembly is fairly straight forward. Inserting the roof pillars is probably the most difficult process. Follow the video and rock/wedge them into place. A little liquid soap helps push the items together. Next tedious task is the screws to secure the pillars to the base and the roof. Prestart the self tapping screws before you attach the pillars as shown in the video. Just start the screws a little. Don't run them all the way in yet. The screws that go into the base and attach to the bottom of the pillar should not go in flat (horizontal). Angle them upward slightly to help with the final process of screwing them into the pillars. Even doing that, I could not use a portable drill to finally secure the screws. I had to carefully use a #1 screwdriver (nothing else would fit in the small work area). But it's doable, just tedious. The screws to secure the pillar to the roof had more room so my portable drill worked fine.
The stickers have a very strong adhesive. Be very careful handling them. Once they hit that plastic body, it is extremely difficult to relocate their position.
Took me about 2.5 hours for full assembly. Think first, think again, watch the video and assemble the car. Good Luck!
