Toys and Games Reviews of Little Tikes Push & Ride RacerCustomer Review: A riding toy that lasts and lasts Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this toy for my twin boys when they were 10 months old as an impulse buy. I thought they might enjoy pushing it, while learning to walk and riding on it a little until they were more sturdy on their feet, and it was so cheap I wouldn't be breaking myself if they hated it. Now my boys' 3rd birthday is approaching and this little car is still in the center of my den. My boys play on it daily, even now and I doubt they will ever tire of it. They ride it through the house and yard and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. While I have gone and bought more expensive and more complicated riding toys, this one still ranks supreme in their eyes...I dread the day they find out they are simply too big for it!
Customer Review: This toy is an amazing hit! Summary: 5 Stars
My son is almost one and I really want him to walk (not that I'm a pushy parent but I'm pregnant again and he's hard to carry around.) The minute my husband put this together my son went crazy! His eyes got big, his tounge came out, and he made giggly noises as he pushed it everywhere through the house. When he runs into something that causes him to stop he hollars out for help. Not only is it a cute sight to see, but I feel like he is learning balance and coordination too. Not to mention that he is now becoming aware of the three dementional world in which he lives. True, it's a simple toy with no bells and whistles but that's what makes it nice. You child is sure just to delight in their ability to get up and go!
Customer Review: Simple, Functional, Durable Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this for my grandson's first birthday about 10 months ago. What I really wanted was a Home Depot truck like we bought for our older grandson about 3 years ago, but it is no longer available. This ride-on is something that he goes to on a regular basis, if only for a short while at a time. It's a perfect size for him because it's so low to the ground. It's very steady--no tipping. No batteries and no noise, except what comes from the little guy's own imagination. His mother keeps it in the house, and so it still looks like new. I can't imagine this toy wearing out under these circumstances. More likely, it will be outgrown and passed on. Well worth the price, and I can definitely recommend it.
Customer Review: Wheels don't turn, better for pushing than riding Summary: 4 Stars
This is a very well-made toy that works best for pushing around and scooching a little bit forward. I also like the handle bars better than a round steering wheel. But I noticed that the positive reviews here are for children around 1 year old. I purchased this racer because it is low to the ground, and my small-sized 2 year old son has trouble reaching the ground on other ride-on toys. But my son has trouble navigating it around because the wheels don't turn. He is able to go very fast in a straight line, and he loves pushing it, but he can't really turn corners while riding it. I'll keep it around for younger kids, but I don't think it's very satisfying for a 2 year old who wants to "drive" his car.
Customer Review: Simply great Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this for my 10 month old son. I loved that it was for 9 months plus, many of the riding toys are for 12 months plus. I purchased this riding toy becuase of its simplicity. It was very easy to put together, I did it by myself with the help and distaction of my 3 year old and 10 month old. As soon as it was together, they both were having a ball. He loves to push it around since he is not yet walking on his own and he loves to be pushed around on it. Although it is reccommended for 9 months, but my son is just starting to get the balance to stay on without being held. My 3 year old loves it and I am sure this toy will get plenty of use around our house. I would highly reccommend it.
