Customer Review: Not great for young walkers

My son was an early walker and needed some toys he could stand behind and push through the house. I searched the aisles at Toys R Us and finally found this mower, purchased it and brought it home. This mower is heavily weighted in the back, so children that are unstable on their feet have great problems keeping this upright. Not only did my 10-month-old walker have problems, but his 15-month-old walking pal had problems with this as well. I'm sure by the time he's 2-or-3 years old it will be fine, but it is absolutely not for young ones that need the support in their early walking endeavors.Customer Review: FUN, FUN , FUN!!!

My now three year old received this mower for his 1st birthday. He played with it all day every day and he still does. It's a durable and fun toy. There are no small peices or parts. Another good thing is there are no sticky bubbles to deal with, the lawn mower makes a little popping noise as the child pushes it, it's really cute. I had to buy another only because my 3 year old would not share with his younger brother (1). This is a great toy overall and it is holding up well for an "outside toy". No weathering effects to worry about either, it's made of sturdy plastic. GREAT!Customer Review: Okay toy for good walkers.

I got this for my son when he was 9 months old and just barely starting to walk. He didn't like it until now (he's 11 months old) because he can walk really well now and doesn't need to hold onto anything for support. If your child isn't walking well, they will fall over backward thinking the handle will support them. Once the child is walking well enough on their own, it's a pretty nice toy. My son just now discovered the lever and key and likes to play with those and he likes to flip the whole thing over and look underneath...it's very light and easy to maneuver. We bought this nearly 5 years ago in red at Toysrus. I wanted to buy a lawn more for my son. He really wanted the bubbling mower by Fisher-Price but TRU was having a buy one get one free promotoi for Little Tikes toys so he got this one instead. ;-)
I am so happy I didn't go with a bubbling mower. We have used them at friends' houses and they never work right and feel so flimsy.
Our Little Tikes mower has been left outside all the time and it still works perfectly (except for some fading). My two year old daughte and my 5 year old son still play with it.

We just got this for our 2 1/2 year old son to enjoy this summer! So far he is having a ton of fun "mowing" the living room, and he'll be taking it outside soon. It's noisy, fun, and has little gadgets (the key to turn, the gas cap, the gear shift, etc.) to play with... what more could he want?! Yet, it doesn't have so many "bells and whistles" like some of the mowers out there that he can still use his own imagination. Plus, we love that it's a Little Tikes because their affordable toys are known to last 3 generations or more. Definitely worth the buy!!
