Customer Review: Poor instructions for assembly

I found this basically impossible to put together. The assembly instructions are terrible and I don't know if my unit was defective , but mine WILL NOT go together at all. To ship this back will be a nightmare with it's weight. I was not happy with the instructions. The shelf looks nice, just will not go together no matter how you try it. I bought this item when it first came out for my 3 year old. It keeps things together nicely and not just thrown in a toy box especially for the little toys, cars ect. Very sturdy, except the 2nd shelf cracked so I called the little tykes company and they sent a replacement part at no charge and no questions asked. Great item for toys and oranization as well as a great look .Customer Review: Great for Toys and things!

We love this for our 10 month old! She can pull the drawers open and get to her toys...I can put them away very easily and nothing ends up at the bottom of the "toy box" forgotten about!
It just fits in to our family room as far as "furniture"...maybe not the designer piece but a great solution for toys and books and furry friends.

It will hopefully be a pretty sturdy storage unit, but for now its just a few pieces of wood in my spare bedroom because there weren't any screws or any other assemby hardware in the box. Target customer service was pretty helpful and they're shipping an entire new bookcase, so hopefully shipment #2 will contain the assembly pieces.Customer Review: Great storage unit..

I also read the other reviews before buying...I'm glad that I did! I also had problems with the sides, but I realized that I didn't have the shelves on correctly. Incidentally, I purchased a second one at Toys R Us because I liked it so well. I would highly recommend this for anyone that needs nice looking, well made storage space.
