I rarely take part in submitting comments on any product but felt compelled to pass on my comments on this table. I share in the reviews offered by several others who stated: (i) the table comes in a ton of pieces - it requires a screwdriver and a socket tool (that I needed to run out and purchase)to assemble; (ii) if you are brave enough to attempt to put this together by yourself give yourself plenty of workspace and plenty of time - it took me nearly two hours; and (iii) you can't tell from the pictures but, when assembled, you will see a number of the screws and wingnuts that hold the table together - otherwise it does blend in well with a backyard. My wife's criticism was limited to the fact that the Little Tikes logo is smack dab on top of the table and spoils the surface top. Our 2 year-old and 3 year-old have limited their complaint to the color of the umbrella - Anna wanted yellow instead of the blue one it came with. All things considered, now that it is fully assembled the kids are loving it and we hope to get several years of use and enjoyment out of it.Customer Review: Don't buy this one

We like to buy things that don't need to be replaced. When I bought this, I thought: one very large kid-sized picnic table- great, we'll never have to buy another! I was wrong. While this picnic table does have a nice design idea behind it, the design didn't actually work. The seating isn't supported, and because the plastic that the seating is made out of is not the typical Little Tikes super-sturdy plastic (or at least it doesn't seem to be), NO ADULTS can EVER sit on it. Actually, I don't even think children above 7 can sit at this table without making the bench sag. I don't know about you, but when my children and I decide to eat at a picnic table while their dad is at work in the summer, I do like to sit at the same table as them even if the seats are a little low. Instead, we now all sit at the big table, which is fine- except- why did I buy this table? I wish I had just gone with my instincts and purchased a wooden one. This is a sturdy, nice-looking picnic table. Colors (except for umbrella) blend in nicely with deck. Plenty of room for their little friends to sit and eat snacks with them. The umbrella does fit snug, but it doesn't have ties on it to use when closed (needed in a windy location). You can remove the top potion of the umbrella without removing the whole pole, so that's nice. Instructions read "45 minute assembly" - forget that, unless your an engineer. It took me an 1 1/2 and was a pain in the rear. I counted over 100 parts, including screws, nuts and bolts! And in order to "fold and store" you have to perform some minor disassembly. Once you get it together you should be happy with it, though. It is big, solid, well-built and our boys absolutelty love eating outside on this table. I purchased this table with umbrella for my two grandsons ages 2 and 3.
We keep it in the backyard and the kids like to sit at it for lunch and some playtimes with clay. The seats are rather low to the ground so it is easy to get into for toddlers and very young children. It was a little difficult to put together but we are not great at assembling things like this. It is nice to have the 4 seats all around, and the gray/taupe color blends well in the yard. As the boys are fairly tall, I don't think this table will be as useful by next year, but I do expect to get this summer and next out of it. For grandma and grandpa to sit next to it, we pull up our folding chairs. We like having the umbrella to protect our lunches from other flying objects.
In general, it was a very good purchase.
Customer Review: Nice table, love the amount of seats for the kids

This table is great for those hot summer days. My husband was able to assemble it easily enough on his own. My only complaint is that the umbrella did not fit into the center hole without a whole lot of muscle. It seems when the table was molded and the top attached to the bottom, the center hole was slightly off, which makes for pushing in the umbrella very difficult. My husband was able to strong arm the umbrella in, however it sits a little crooked. I would still recommend this table because it has the greatest amount of seats when the little ones have their friends over. It was also the only table I could find that had a smooth top, which I preferred since I wanted them to be able to draw pictures, do crafts projects, etc. on it.
