Customer Review: Flimsy Credit Card

Just got it today, but bought it from a different source, not Amazon. When they say credit card, I'm thinking of a sturdy piece of plastic, not some printed cardstock I cut out from the label. That's just ridiculous to think that that will last any longer than 1 minute. As with another person, the label looks like it was applied by a monkey with two left unopposable thumbs. Luckily, the corner was sticking up and I was able to gently peel it up and reapply it. The original box that it came in had no packaging material which is good for the environment, but you should've seen the box after FedEx got done with it. I agree, too, the sounds are awfully quiet. At this point, it's probably the best one out there if you need it now, but that's not saying much. I'm sure something better will come along in a short time, making me regret not having waited, but then hindsight is 20/20.Customer Review: Gas pump is so so

I bought this gas pump for my son's 2nd birthday. I would recommend the item being weighed down. It seems to fall over all the time when my son is pretending to put gas in his cozy coupe. I read one review where a man pierced a small hole in the back & filled it with sand...that is a good idea. I also wish the credit card swiper would make a noise or something when you pass the credit card through. I've bought lots of Little Tikes stuff & I just wasn't really impressed with this item. The sound effects aren't that loud when played with outside...I should have listened to the other reviews and passed on this item.Customer Review: Cute Gas Pump Just Doesn't Cut It

As cute as this gas pump looks, it is an annoying toy for both adults and kids. First of all and most important of all, for the price, it is as lightweight as you can possibly imagine and cheaply made in every respect. The hose is too short by at least 3 feet! When the child goes to gas up his Little Tikes truck (which is great btw) he/she ends up pulling this lightweight pump with him/her to get to the truck. So adults are constantly having to right the pump for the 2 year old and the 2 to 5 year old is frustrated at not having this toy work the way one expects. So-called electronic sounds are hardly audible.Customer Review: disappointed

I sent this back - very disappointed in weight, decals, lack of imagination - Fisher Price made one 25 years ago which was a lot more interesting and fun. It had spinning numbers for the price and gallons, sturdy construction(still have our childrens - was looking for one for grandson), tools for small make-believe repairs (oil can, tire pressure checker, etc.) and a bell to indicate customer had arrived (I know, we now have self-serve).
My children enjoyed this for years!

I love the concept of this toy for my grandchildren. However upon receiving the item I found the decals had been improperly positioned and wrinkled...First strike! Secondly, the weight of the pump makes it difficult for little ones to use it. It needs to be heavier at the bottom so when the hose is used it does not drag the pump to the floor every time. I'm having my husband weight the bottom so this does not happen. It could be a great item if these improvements were made.
