This is an awesome toy. I delayed buying this toy for over 6 months because of the bad reviews it received. Let me allay your fears, this toy is very durable if you put it together properly and fill it with sand. Do not deprive your child or yourself of this much fun. My days of rigging the over the door hoops to chairs, the fridge, or radiators are over! My 18 month old is having the time of his life.It may not be educational, but it sure is fun!

I highly recommend this toy! I purchased this when my son was about 15 months old, and it still looks brand new even though we use it just about every day. We keep it in the house in the family room, and on rainy days when we can't get outside, it makes a wonderful physical activity. Every child who comes in this house can't resist playing with it! My nieces have enjoyed this as much as my two boys. My husband certainly has enjoyed it too. . .Customer Review: Do not buy it for more than $30

This is a great toy-but why it's $44 on Amazon, I don't know. It's about $25-$30, regular price at Toys r Us. The only thing about it is that the new version does seem better-it has a place to hold the basketball for instance. Still my 1 1/2 year old son loves this basketball hoop. He's had it for 3 months now. He is tall for his age, so maybe that makes a difference-but I still think this is age appropriate for toddlers 1 1/2 and up.Customer Review: ANNOYING and not well built

This toy was purchased for my 3 year old son who loves basketball. He loves to play with it but there is no volume control and the music repeats so often it is absolutely annoying. My son actually asked me to turn the volume off so I took the batteries out. Additionally, the stand is almost broken at the bottom because he likes to dunk the basketballs in. I can't wait until it breaks so I can buy him a straightforward basketball hoop.Customer Review: A Must Have

Everybody should get this toy for their toddler, boy or girl. All kids love it, simple as that. We got this for our son's one-year birthday, and once he started standing (not even walking yet) he was dunking the ball (with our help at first). It's his favorite toy. And now that he's 18-months old, he plays with it on his own and claps for himself whenever he makes a basket. It's so great! As you can tell, I highly recommend it!
